Just been prescribed them, grrrrrr, as if I didn't have enough with having to deal with a tashe and a beard!! Where, preferably online, could I get nice reading glasses?

Reading glasses detract from the tache and beard IME.

what strength do you need? I bought some +1.0 at Poundland that are very stylish - really and also very effective and do the job very well

I just got glasses too Sad Karen Millen ones were the nicest I saw in Specsavers in the stylish shop I bought mine. I find I have to take care to ensure my eyebrows are v near and defined now and a bit more eye makeup.

Neat not near!

I wear glasses all the time and I'd suggest going to an optician's or two and trying on everything they have. Then you'll be able to see what looks good on you.

If you then want to buy the frames online, you can get the brand and model number (printed on the inside one of the arms of the frame) and find them online.

I've never bought glasses of any kind online, but if I had to buy frames, I'd go here: www.otticanet.com/

I wear glasses sometimes and I love them, if you get the right frame, they can be v flattering and even sexy. I splurged on a Bulgari pair, it's worth paying a bit for the ones you like seeing as you will wear them every day.

Thank you all. Someone mentioned that there was an online shop that would send you a few glasses to try at home and then you could return them free of post. Anyone know the name of this company?

I was prescribed reading glasses at the weekend.

I bought Jigsaw ones from Boots. They were the only ones that suited me. £150 later Blush

Glasses direct do the home trial. Although I've never done the trial
I have bought from them and they are very good. I know what shape I need so just order them straight away,
