Recommendations for 'posh' jeans

I want to invest in a pair of decent jeans for glam nights out. Have seen a pair of 7 For All Mankind that fit the bill perfectly. They are £225.

Now, I wouldn't hesitate to spend big on certain items but jeans have never been one of them. Are jeans at this type of price level really much better than my standard high street jobs? Can anyone recommend other brands that are great value at this price?

I second shopbop but find the exact brand, model and size you want in somewhere like Selfridges/DonnaIda/Trilogy before you order because returns (to the US) are an expensive PITA. I love JBrand and Mother. Have tried Goldsign and they are beautifully soft and flattering. If you are more on the curvy side also check out Citizens of Humanity. Another one I love is MiH but it's a UK brand so you don't get the shopbop price advantage.

J Brand, Goldsign and Frame are my favourites. I usually buy from Shopbop/Recolve or Donna Ida/Trilogy with discounts or in sales. Also love Gap legging jeans (size down ) and Rich and Skinny from TK Maxx. I've found Paige to wear the worst.

MiH jeans are very flattering. I always get comments about them being a lovely fit.

MiH jeans are often heavily reduced on ASOS and Anthropologie. I got a pair of Paris cropped jeans for £40 and Breathless for £50.

Lovers of good jeans - I have to recommend M and S 5 pocket jeggings. They are just the perfect skinny jeans. I have them in dark indigo and just bought slate grey which are gorgeous, really soft and would pass for £££ in terms of feel, fit and recovery. Size down, I take 27 in J Brand and wear size 8 in these.
