Spent hours trawling the internet and the answer to my question is 'yes'
All the delightful clothes for girls make me and boys can have rank cords or jeans and more jeans
it is SSOOOOO unfair

Just been looking at this website Seesaw as I am going to a home party for them tomorrow.

Some of the boy's clothes on there look quite nice.

longjohnalexsmum · 19/09/2006 21:20

yes hula - some of that is nice.but all for littlies.
ds1 being so big is the problem.as he's in age 9-10 it's all teenagey stuff and as he' only 6 i hate it.

hulababy · 19/09/2006 21:21

Yes, think it only goes up to age 8.

i just like things a bit diffrerent - a girl is so easy to dress a bit 'left of centre' but with boys you need three spare weeks and a red hot visa card

I've just kitted ds out from H&M,they're stuff is lovely at the moment.

I agree that there is not as much selection for boys, (this will be the case throughout their life though, as just look at the difference between the womans selections in shops compared with the mens!), but I don't agree that all their clothes are drab.
I have 2 boys & love buying them clothes!
I agree that monsoon stuff (in the sales!) is lovely, as is a lot of stuff from Debenhams, vertbaudet, zara & Gap!
Infact only yesterday, my friend who has 3 girls said to me "I always take a look at what your boys are wearing because they always have such nice clothes on!"
There are some lovely boys bits out there, you just have to search a little more.

fartmeistergeneral · 22/09/2006 20:32

Think it was the vertbaudet catalogue that came through and there was a boy on the front with like a cord jacket, stripy scarf etc etc all bright colours and I thought he looked gorgeous, but if my ds1 or ds2 wore that they would be beaten. Badly.

Have a look at Pumpkin Patch. They have some really lovely boys stuff.

We are H&M fans here too and Boden sale stuff (also got some nice Boden bits on E-Bay) my parents go to France alot and always bring back some lovely clothes.
