At home eyebrow tinting kit that works well?

I need a medium brown eyebrow tint as it's too expensive to go to the salon (colour fades on my brows after only 1-2 weeks). Can anyone recommend a kit I can use at home?

I use dylash

HeyMicky · 17/08/2014 20:43

Dylash here, too

Do you know anyone who has a trade card for Salon Services?

You can get a professional kit (colour/peroxide/brush/glass mixing dish) for around £11 all in.

Last for ages, better choice of colour compared to Boots etc, and very, very easy to use.

I bought refectocil tint from eBay. It's really good stuff, I use natural brown for brows and blue/black for lashes.

thinks its called eyelure and is advertised as for lashes as well as brows but I just use it on brows. its good quality and easy to use, about £8 from boots and lasts ages.

What BBQ said - it's the same brand as in my salon and easy to do at home.

BeaLola · 17/08/2014 23:48

Can i jump in and ask do you need to mix it with something and apply .... i had one like this from Boots and never got good results with it ?

CointreauVersial · 17/08/2014 23:49

One of my fellow crepey MNers uses moustache dye, apparently.

Suzannewithaplan · 18/08/2014 01:29

just use hairdye, it's the same stuff but cheaper

KikitheKitKat · 18/08/2014 08:35

When dying my hair (Nice & Easy) I just use a bit on my brows too - but only leave it about 10 mins.

Suzannewithaplan · 18/08/2014 09:22

That's pretty much what I did when I was dying my hair darker than it's natural colour.

The lash/brow kits where you pay a fiver or so for a teeny tiny bit of dye are a total rip off.

They've recently changed the formulation of Dylash or Dybrow, or one of those ones. It used to be that you mixed the dye cream with the developing solution and then painted that on, but now you paint the developer on then the dye gel, leave it for a minute and then remove. I've never had a good result from this (it's blobby and uneven) and wish they'd change it back.

GaryShitpeas · 18/08/2014 09:37

Ime they are all shit

Last about five mins on my eyebrows
