Just for interest, as so many of us sell and buy clothes on ebay.

Thanks for posting this. Is eBay still doing well? I don't think it's as popular as it was. I take most stuff to the charity shop now.

I haven't sold on eBay for months. Everything is going on Facebook selling groups or gumtree. It's cash on delivery, no fees. eBay is off putting once you factor in their fees, postage costs and PayPal fees.

I sold a pram on Facebook the other day and got £150. If I'd have got the same amount on eBay I would have lost £5 in PayPal fees, £15 on eBay fees and had to sort out a courier.

The one thing I struggle with selling at all is kids clothes.

I take more to charity shop now too. It's not worth selling inexpensive items anymore.

Children's clothes, especially high street do not seem to sell well; I only do well with brands like Oilily etc And people want something for nothing. I had a buyer request discount on a Boden t shirt they bought for 99p as it had a hole in the shoulder; yes it did, the buttonholes.

They take a cut of postage too apparently. How they can do that I don't know.

I'll stand corrected, but I think that Gumtree belongs to Ebay too!

Even if they do own gumtree, it's free listings and cash on collection, so much easier to sell on.
