Soak cotton wool in acetone, cover nails, wrap in foil, leave 10/15 mins, run off.

Thanks for the quick reply! Will my nails be damaged afterwards?

If I cut my nails it seems to give me a little bit that I can pull up and peel the whole thing off. Not sure you're supposed to do that though!

No they look whitish though. After soaking I use a thingy from the manicure kits that I am not sure what it is for really to scrape any bits off.

Then use file - soft one to take any bits off.usually i
I then wait 24 hrs and then put base coat and transparent or another colour.

When you think about the chemical load of having so many layers on and such an agressive treatment to take them off....are they worth it?
Nothing like trying to remove it at home to put you off!
You really need to file/buff the first layers off before soaking.
Took 3 months for my nails to recover.

Nail tech here. File lightly over polish to break the seal then wrap each nail in cotton pad soaked in acetone. Wrap each finger in foil. Leave for 10/15 mins. Remove foil and cotton wool. If any product remains use an orange stick to scrape away remains. Use a very light buffer if the nail feels raggy. Then apply oil.

I haven't tried Gelish but I remove my Shellac by soaking my nails in a bowl of acetone and scraping them off with the nails on the other hand.

My nails are in pretty good condition underneat - they don't break or peel.
