What shampoo do you use and love if you have fine hair?

I have shoulder length, straight, fine highlighted hair. I do everything I can to make it thicker (babyliss big hair brush, styling products etc) and am after a new shampoo to try. Currently using the Nioxin but not overly impressed (especially for the price!). I thought I might try the L'Oreal Everpure (no sulphates) range or perhaps the Kerastase range.Or even the Dove anti aging volume range.

I've probably tried every volumising shampoo in Boots Grin and oddly enough not been super impressed with any of them. The only thing I've done to make a huge difference is to condition my hair first, THEN shampoo.

Anyway, would love to hear your recommendations, thank you.

BIG shampoo from Lush. Bloody love it and it smells gorgeous!

NapoleonsNose · 15/08/2014 21:59

I've been using that L'Oreal Fibrology one in the blue and pink bottle. Seems to make my hair feel a bit fuller. And its cheapish too!

TheMasterNotMargarita · 15/08/2014 22:02

I tried a couple of the Kerastase and at first they seemed ok but after about half a bottle my hair either got lank or I got a really itchy scalp.
Have tried Pureology which smells divine and is ok if I dont condition every time.

CointreauVersial · 15/08/2014 22:24

I'm liking L'Oreal Fibrology at the moment. Definitely thickens my hair.

torwen · 15/08/2014 22:27

FoxyHarlow123 · 15/08/2014 22:49

Fibrology is fab.

squoosh · 15/08/2014 23:06

I'm a Fibrology fan too.

MissisBee · 16/08/2014 12:10

I use l'oreal inoa, it's the same brand as the hair dye my hairdresser uses. Makes my hair nice and smooth without weighing it down and smells nice too

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 16/08/2014 12:27

I hate that fibrology one. My hair feels horrible and I can bearly get a brush through it.

I have just bought the no sulphites one as it's half price in tesco so will let you know!

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 16/08/2014 22:44

I can confirm the no sulphites volume one is lovely!

I have very fine wavy hair. Kerastase Bain de Force is fantastic but my total love is for L'Oréal Ever Riche (have used shampoo, conditioner and treatment and love them all separately but together they are fantastic). With it my hair is in great condition, not weighted down and in beautiful natural waves. And much cheaper than the Kerastase. I'd pick the L'Oréal Ever that is most like your hair type and give it a try.

DorothyBastard · 16/08/2014 23:03

I love L'oreal's Fibrology too.

AlleyCat11 · 16/08/2014 23:06

Johnson's Baby Shampoo, as it doesn't weigh my hair down. And a tiny blob of conditioner on the ends only.

Philip Kingsley shampoo and conditioner and elasticiser.

There is a special trial offer for PK products in M&S for £5.00 for three mini products. Included is a £5.00 voucher you can use towards full size products. PK is expensive, but products are very concentrated and you only need a small amount

Kundry · 17/08/2014 09:10

Totally agree with Greyhound - with a bit of imagination you can figure out which L'Oréal line equals which Kerastase one.

missmartha · 17/08/2014 09:44

I love Toni and Guy shampoo and conditioner for fine hair.

It won't increase the volume, a little of the plumping mousse from the same range will do that, but they leave my hair silky and not weighed down, and I'm very happy with them.

Looking for good fine hair products is my life time quest. The Toni and Guy fine hair range make me happy.

bouquetofpencils · 17/08/2014 19:37

I am using Klorane oat milk which I got on amazon, it's a good all rounder.

BlueberryMuffins76 · 17/08/2014 19:39

I'm another fan of the Fibrology, and my hair sounds similar to yours - shoulder length, highlighted and very fine.

auldspinster · 17/08/2014 21:47

My mum has thinning hair and loves Fibrology. I have fine hair but masses of it and use Everpure which stops it turning into a frizzy mess.
