Does anyone else really struggle with slip-on/court shoes?

All my life I've had narrow heels (memories of hideous Clarks t-bar school shoes), which make it very challenging for me to wear smart shoes because I just walk straight out of them and look like I'm playing dressing-up!

I bought three identical pairs of ballet pumps from Kurt Geiger when I found a design with an elasticated back that actually stayed on my feet. Normally I have to stick to Mary-Jane or lace-up styles.

Recently I bought a pair of courts from Clarks which just about stay on my feet long enough for me to wear for a few hours, but the second pair are awful and were slip-sliding off my heels just walking into an office - very professional, not.

Heel grips never seem to work for me - they just push my feet further away from the heel of the shoe, I feel like I need something to push my feet back into them.

Anyone else have this problem and managed to solve it?

I cut off a piece of sponge and fit it into the toe part at the relevant spot. Been doing this for years . Another narrow heeled problem.

Ive just bought shoe straps on ebay . They fit around the heel and you can get them the color of your shoes . I was worrying they wouldnt work . They are amazing . Why did i not know about these before .

I am narrow of heel too and have so many pairs of shoes I cannot wear (why oh why did I ever buy them?) However if I'm going out dressed up I put a strip of double sided tape right down along the middle of each shoe, and hey presto, the shoe then sticks to my foot! I know it's not a forever fix, and the insides of my shoes look a bit weird when I come to take them off, but I don't care. It works! (it was only successful with bare feet though, not sure how it would work with tights...)

I have exactly the same problem...but I'm a size 10 with narrow heels..virtually impossible to get shoes..as most large ladies shoes are made for wide feet and mine are really skinny! Resorted to Long Tall Sally but have to pay between 80 and 100 pound for styles I wouldn't normally wear or want...hence the constant wearing of flip flops..feet a bit blue in winter though 😜. I think shoe manufacturers don't make the back of the shoe high enough...

I've never got on with court shoes. They slip at the back of the heel and I have to scrunch up my toes to keep them on. Hence I haven't worn a pair for years. Mary Janes with heels are much easier in my opinion

I use leather heel grips from eBay. My feet slip out of size 4 but 3.5 is too small 😬😬

I normally cannot wear slip ons or ballet slipper type shoes, but having some success with butterfly twists as theyre elasticated at the heel. They actually stay on and are pretty comfy
