In France on holiday are there any beauty products I must buy?

I am in love with their "pharmacies" they have so many interesting products.

Are their any that you beauty gurus recommend I must buy?

I love Sephora and have been looking for a shop but we are staying in the middle of the countryside and no avail in towns nearby. Might have to persuade DH to stop off at the one at Cite Europe on the way home!

Mignonette

I am originally from Perth, Western Australia (nearly in my 15th year in UK).

Back in the 70's it was a stuffed kids toy for a charity in Perth and the name sort of stuck for local people. Sort of looks like a yellow caterpillar!

When I was thinking of a nickname I thought it would be unique, though my DH thought it sounded like I was some kind of perv who loved sand!

We love France and try to come as much as we can on hols...

Lol at French Huguenot.

Some people are easily amused Tomato - you sound a dear happy little soul with all that loling. A joy to have as a friend. I do envy those who know you IRL.

Sand - thanks for explaining. I did imagine that you sat running your hands through sand (which is quite addictive :) ) making 'ummm ummm' noises Smile

Thanks everyone for really great suggestions. I'll be staying in an appartment in Rue des Saints Peres, so pretty near to cityPharma, and a Carrefour and Monoprix! I've a few hours free on the first day, before my companions arrive, so some solo indulgence shopping will be perfect.

Hope everyone else enjoys their vacances en France.

Lucky you! Saints Peres is one of my favourite streets in Paris.

Second and thirding Klorane shampoos, which are great. I'm blonde and used to love the camomile one, and someone also mentioned the nettle one I think. Miss French pharmacies.

Just vacated my apartment in rue de buci today .... Managed another haul at citypharma though, fewer people this week so you can actually breathe in there....

poly I don't know it, but the apartment was booked by someone who knows Paris well. I've investigated it on Google Earth and it does look interesting - good to know it's an MN approved location! Smile

Saints Peres is a fabulous location
