Boots help

Ok, love knee high boots and have had several pairs in the recent past, but always one of 2 problems... Either (if they're leather)I feel like I'm wearing wellies as baggy round ankles, or (if stretchy suede) constantly pulling them up as otherwise they wrinkle rather unattractively. Any advice as to where to buy or what problem might be?

It might be worth going somewhere that makes them to measure. Can't remember any names but a friend went to one & the boots weren't much more expensive than standard ones in high street shops.

I have a similar problem - maybe we have disproportionally thin ankles?
Duo are widely touted but I've not used them myself as I found a zip pair from M&S that have leather feet and tops with suedey microfibre in between that somehow fit very well.
Hobbs (though fiendishly expensive) seem to come up narrow in the ankle too, and Jones Bootmaker had some last year with a tan cuff and a zip that didn't run all the way to the top (iyswim) that might do too - in fact all the boots on their website give their calf and ankle measurements so you can pick the slimmest ones.

Thanks for that. Lucky enough that money isn't an issue so will give all options a go. Am determined to get some to fit this year!

This place makes boots to measure:

selve and they are based in London. Some of the options they have look horrible IMO but you can basically pick whatever leather/heel combination you like.

Duo tend to be a bit baggy in the ankle so may not work so well - best to try on.
