Does anyone else take their shoes off in work?

A friend of mine was shocked that I do.

I love my heels, but myn office is a converted old town house with steep stairs ans thick carpets so heels are'nt terrible practical!!

I tend just to go stockinged footed around the office unless aclient comes in when obviusly I put my heels back on.

Anyone else do this.

I do but I work from my bosses house and it's cream carpets.

Thinking about leaving slippers there!

Yes always doing it without realising.

I work for Virgin Holidays and my shoes are invariably on the floor under my desk.

Been caught out a few times when a client has come in and I have'nt been able to find them!!

The woman who sits opposite me.... Her feet stink.

And they are all gnarly.

My boss has previously had a quiet chat about personal hygiene standards (I am not sure that I should be aware of this but lady with smelly feet freely announced it to the office)

Yes always in stockinged feet in work. Can't find comfy shoes

Bloke I worked with in my last job did this. It was awful, his horrible feet gently ponging away on summer days, in an enclosed very small office.

Thank goodness I left, couldn't have stood it another summer!

NorbertDentressangle · 08/11/2014 14:23

In the summer I sometimes do.

We have to have enclosed footwear (ie. no sandals) when out and about on site but in my office I tend to kick my shoes off under the desk but put them back on when I get up from my desk if anyone is around.

CointreauVersial · 08/11/2014 19:05

Ooh no. I sometimes kick my shoes off under my desk, without even realising, but if I needed to get up I'd put my shoes back on.

I work in an office which is predominantly men (who have to wear ties), and it would look very odd if I wandered about shoeless.

Yes all the time.

When I returned from maternity leave found it hard going in heels all day.

Having tried on a bout 40 pairs of shoes decided to go stockinged footed around the office.
