Anyone Like/Loathe these Casual Shoes??

Tried these on the other day and very tempted. Super comfortable and the grey will go with everything.

Do others like or loathe them, for everyday wear, ie mainly with skinny jeans or cros? I do wonder whether the whiteness of the trim will limit them to summery weather and look quite silly in autumn.

Hideous shoes for how much????Shock

polyhymnia · 04/08/2014 18:57

Wow, feel like I've blown any tiny sliver of credibility I might ever have had sky high on these!

But I was looking for honest views. Thanks for giving them.

Some of the Toms look nice for summery weather - was looking at those in Office the other day. Worth trying on.

ElizabethArden, have you actually got those FF Jones ones ? If so, which colour and what do you think of them? Have several FF sandals and trainers which I like but couldn't decide online if the Jones were nice or clumpy .

PS ElizabethArden, love the phrase 'Jeremy Irons brothel creepers', btw.

Why would anyone spend £150 on a pair of casual shoes that might get worn three months of the year when there are less expensive, nicer, more comfortable alternatives?

Puzzled

polyhymnia · 04/08/2014 19:18

Yes, see your point. ( though I guess I do have dresses I probably only wear three months a year, plus holidays), As said, even thinking of them was an aberration I now regret.

Old man slippers. No.

VeganCow · 04/08/2014 19:36

I thought they were mens shoes! plus the price, no way.
If you genuinely have £150 to spend on shoes you can get a couple of really nice pais for that..I could get ten pairs for that haha,

I have the blue ones! I love them. I also have a pair of ff slide on sandals with two straps. Both v comfortable.

ElizabethArdenGreenTeax · 04/08/2014 21:56

Polyhymia, Jeremy Irons popped in to my head when i saw the shoes..... with a blazer casually held on one finger behind his other shoulder. What a visual!!

polyhymnia · 04/08/2014 22:46

Brilliant!

PS the navy ones or the bright blue/turquoise ones? Also, I was a bit worried the cream/ beige rectangle on the front might get grubby. Is it OK?

Dear god, those shoes are ugly...and £150???

Shonajay · 05/08/2014 01:57

toms can be had on www.branch309.co.uk very cheaply at the moment- it's the Schuh sales/returns website.

WildBillfemale · 05/08/2014 05:43

Sorry they are beyond hideous - they look like the shoes a lot of young gay men wear - see TOWI

PittTheYounger · 05/08/2014 06:02

Gross. Middle aged woman tries to be edgy and ends up with feet like sideshow bob

peasandlove · 05/08/2014 07:28

I wouldnt spend that much on shoes, and never ever on synthetic ones

carrie74 · 05/08/2014 10:03

I like skater shoes, but wouldn't pay that for them. There are some snakeskin ones for £12 in Next clearance at the moment (I got the leopard print ones that DMBL40 has, and they've been great).

polyhymnia · 05/08/2014 10:16

Pitt your comment is most salutary - it made me laugh.

Many thanks for all the more reasonably priced suggestions. Will explore.

I would and have spent £150 on shoes - eg have R and B navy snakeskin loafers, which I'm really happy with. But not on synthetic - as said, didn't realise these were till I posted them.

On a completely different shoe, any feedback from Elizabeth Arden or anyone else on what those Fitflop Jones loafers are like in RL welcome.

I think the shoes in the original link are extremely good looking. Very stylish. If that's your budget range, go for it.

I saw a similar thing at HofF in the sale, by Bertie. But the ones you linked to are really nice, more solid than the Bertie.

These are in a different league to go walk, toms etc. no comparison, IMO.

The woven nike roshe run might be your thing..check them out, they come in various colour ways and are half the price of your suggestion, so you could get two pairs!
