Children's school shoes are not things of style and beauty

but I would like to know the best place to get them.

I don't like Clark's shoes after years of buying them.

Are there any other good brands?

Funnily enough Rainbow the one time DD had patent leather shoes (bought against my better judgement) they lasted extremely well.

Another one here with an 8 year old who walks to school and plays football every spare minute. His Clarks have always lasted until he grows out of them. We normally get them cheap from an outlet village.

The shopkeeper talked me into them. I remember my mother never letting me have them ("they'll scuff") but apparently it's different now.

Daughter likes them, they last. We'll stick them :)
