Before I met dh and had dd (only 5 years ago) i was very glam, had loads going out clothes and felt like a million dollars.I got lots attention from blokes which made me feel great

Now never go out but that doesnt bother me as life different now MUCH happier and all that

But when i do go out (this fri, works do) i dont know what to wear, feel fat feel old and SO out of it

I am treating myself to something new but worry that i end up looking overdone

anyone else share this feeling/worry?

I probably do as I was at school before I had LO & now I work, so I can wear nicer clothes.

I think I care more about my appearance too. But that may be due to being recently single & also starting to go out more!

notasheep · 26/10/2006 22:49

Seem to have spent my entire life in Jeans and m and s knickers

I dress in a much more boring fashion now - partly being older and partly being a mum. I used to have pink hair, wear steel toe capped boots and I was majorly into alternative music. Now I am really boring (still wear a green day t-shirt sometimes though!)

schneebly · 26/10/2006 22:51

I dont look smart though - am still scruffy!

Blondilocks · 26/10/2006 22:55

I still wear mini-skirts think I always will do.

Must confess to wearing M&S knickers a lot of the time tho (but not BIG ones!) ... however they do have some really cute ones in there now!

Yes, I am 35, not 18.

I don't feel old.

But then, I don't understand youth-obsessed culture.

How silly, considering we all get older.

rustycreakingdoorbear · 26/10/2006 23:54

Presumably, you're not mutton, notasheep

sandyy · 27/10/2006 00:17

yes I have worn the same trousres every day for 2 + years!

DottieParker · 27/10/2006 00:19
