Touching up roots at home in between salon treatments

Am going to a wedding later this summer and will be away from home for 3 weeks before wedding. I colour my hair and my roots will probably be showing by then!

What can I do - can I colour my roots myself? I read somewhere about makeup for roots??

I don't really want to go to a colourist I don't know.

thank you!!

Well you have a couple of choices. Roux tween time crayon as a very temp fix but least risky as it washes straight out. About £6 from Amazon.

You could pop a semi on but just do the roots. Used a tint brush and bowl .Go for a shade lighter than you think you will need as home dyes always seem to pull darker.

What shade/s does your colourist use?

Thanks Snazzy - I don't know! Will ask her.

I use nice and easy root touch up between colours. Only takes ten mins and means I don't have to pay for the hairdresser to do it as often Grin

Another option is Bumble & Bumble hair powder - it sprays on similar to hair spray but has really good coverage and washes out easily. I am brunette & this works really well for me.
