Help me make my feet more beautiful

I can't attach a photo as I am on my phone any they are also rank and I'm embarrassed

My feet are awful, the left one particularly. They are dry, cracked, some athletes foot I think and just look horrid, they haven't been great since I became an adult but I usually keep them under control. However, this year, with a cute but demanding newborn, I have lapsed and they are now horrific.

I don't have much ££ to spend but has anyone got any advice? I have to do something!

I would see a chiropodist. I go occasionally when my feet get really bad. They cut off all the dead skin. It is so much easier to keep your feet looking nice after this. Use a file or scraper and then moisturise.

After reading MN I have been smothering my feet in the Boots own-brand version of Vicks (£1.99) before bed and then wearing cheap/old socks overnight. The liquid paraffin moisturises and the other ingredients tackle fungal nails etc. After a month my feet look better than they have for years.

Don't bother with Footner. I had bad cracked heels and while it helped the rest of my feet it didn't even begin to help the heels.

The only thing that works for me is the Emoji Micropedi with the extra rough rollers (both on Amazon). A good hour session with that and then an overnight thick application of moisturiser with feet wrapped in cling film and then socks.

I recommend the Newton's chripody sponge (a few quid from the chemist's or sometimes available in the pound shop). You soak your feet (in bath or whatever - or I use mine after swimming), rub some soap onto the sponge and rub the hard skin away. It only takes a few rubs. After your bath or shower, give your cuticles a go over with a manicure stick.

Foot cream is also available from pound shops, or Soap +Glory do a nice one (Heel Genius). See if you can get into the habit of applying this each evening before bed.

Boots do little softening heel gel socks (about £7) which are brilliant for wearing in the evening when you've put your foot cream on.

Keep toenails trimmed and filed weekly, even in the Winter. So many people let them go and then do a big overhaul when Summer starts, but little and often is the best way to go with foot grooming, IMO. Don't expect miracles in the short term but if you spend 10 minutes a day, your feet will start looking much smarter after a while.

an HOUR malory?!

wow.

I need help too, but use foot file and flexitol.

Whilst I remember it works, but it is hard to remember!

I also rate the Newtons Chiropody sponge. I bought one after reading about it on mn! I only tend to use it about once a week when I remember.

It's important to keep feet moisturised too. particularly right now- when they are exposed. My feet do get quite dry when in sandals.

My favourite cream/s are the Scholl Cracked Heel cream. Or the Burts Bees coconut foot cream. Also CCS foot care cream.

I don't use nail varnish, but keep my toenails clipped quite short.

Once I get rid of the pesky verruca my feet will be lush:)

Thanks guys, so am laid in bed with Vicks smothered on my feet, socks on and googling foot sponges and chiropodists!

I hate that I've let myself go! here's to prettier feet!
