I've heard this stuff is good for eczema but the shop always smells so strong I just wonder how the stuff can be good for eczema. Has anyone here used it?

I used them on the dcs wen they were recovering from chickenpox. Both had very red and sore skin once they were scabbed over (dd had literally 1000s of spots/ scabs!). It was lovely and didn't upset their delicate skin at all.

They've got no SLS in which I'm allergic to (dries my skin)

Lush had the ingredients on their website so guess you could look for 'trigger' things.

Avoiding SLS often works wonders for eczema - I stopped needing steroids and emollients after making sure I used SLS free products.

However I've never tried Lush because I agree with you, the shop smells so strong! I get a headache just walking past it.

Fragrance can set off eczema as well but there are loads of SLS-free shower gels on the market now, it's not like 10 years ago when you had E45 wash and nothing else.

I swap around a lot - Cath Kidston's stuff was lovely (but only for when on special offer), currently using Yes to Carrots which I probably won't buy again as it has a slightly odd smell, may well go for a pharmacy brand next time like Eucerin or Aveeno.

I don't know what it is like for eczema but I do use the dream cream as an all over moisturiser and I like it.

All the smells in dream cream are from natural oils, but although it has no sls in it, it still has parabens which are not great for skin either.

Thanks for your replies. I've just been in Lush and got some samples to try. I use E45 and it is good but I'm getting a bit bored with it to be honest.

I've just discovered Child's Farm. They're meant for children but smell gorgeous and are SLS and paraben free. They say suitable for Eczema and my DDs skin has completely cleared up since we've both been using the moisturiser. Think I'll give the body wash a try. You can buy it in Waitrose.

My mum sometimes uses the dream cream on my dd2 who suffers from mild eczema (has calmed down a lot to virtually nothing in the last year) and it smells lovely. She also applies it if dd2 has a touch of nappy rash. We bought the pot on recommendation from one of the staff who said her brother used it on his eczema.

We just use Aveeno otherwise which we get on repeat prescription. I find it's excellent.
