Dear Fairy Godmothers.....talk to me about sensible shoes! I am starting a new job in September (any guesses as to what Grin) and I will be on my feet most of the day. Most of my shoes are old, and falling apart. I'll be wearing trousers and skirts, and I'll eventually need winter and summer shoes, and some time I may be outside in the rain/snow etc.
I'm not overly stylish, and don't have a huge budget.
So if you could wave your magic wands and point me in the right direction.
Oh. P.s. I am a size 14 but I have HUGE calves. So any boots would need to take this in to account.

Is it primary or secondary? Relaxed or more conservative?

I have large calves and thin ankles and tend to stick to mid calf boots as it's just easier. If it's more smart/casual then how about Fly London Mes boots or Dr Marten Authentic Wedge boots? Clarks mid bikers worth a shot possibly too.

Clarks are better nowadays and their unstructured shoe brand is comfortable if you are on your feet a lot.

It depends how quirky you can get away with/like but Art Company shoes are very comfortable.

If funds are limited keep an eye out on Amazon Warehouse. I pretty much buy all my shoes from here and although it says 'used' it basically means someone has tried them on and returned them. All of mine have arrived in pristine condition and for a third of the price at times.

I quite like these and they would be fine with skirts or trousers.
