Little girls' clothes?

What brands do you like best for your DD?

I'm picky, I think! :)

DD is only one but I'm hoping to scoop up some end of summer deals for next year so she may be in toddler sizes then.

I like clothes that look like they belong to a little girl, not a 20 year old going clubbing. But also I don't like lots of frills or princessy type things because I want her to run and play, obviously!

We're in the US and this summer she's been in mostly Old Navy or Gap. I do like the look of Hanna Andersson and Land's End for some dresses that are sweet but look durable and not too fussy.

Any other ideas? :)

Fram DD has some gymboree stuff with goldfish that is adorable. Also her swimsuit is from the Ice Cream Sweetie line and it is very cute. :)

Loved the winter line with the gingerbread girl too!

I do love Janie and Jack but it's so expensive, at least to me. :) We're in the middle of pouring exorbitant amounts of $$$ into house renovations.

I've had a couple of Zutano bits from Amazon. V lovely and will look out for more. Comes up very small though.

Just came back to this thread and looked at Kate Mack, erm, frills much? I know they are some people's taste though!

I buy from Zara, H&M, Polarno, M&S, Petit Bateau, the White Company, Boden, DPAM and Mayoral for my girls.

ALWAYS buy gymbo/JJ in the end of season sales (obviously size up if the weather is changing!). I don't think I would ever pay full price for it. Plus there are loads of people selling BNWT on ebay, from end of season, so you can pick up last summer's lines easily to get her current sizes.

Gap used to be very good a few years ago, but the last couple of years have been very 'tweeny' and trashy Sad. The quality of the clothes was previously excellent too.

Ooh- just remembered Naartjie. They are available in US (mainly west coast, perhaps?) and they have fabulous stuff, very much little girls, not tweenager stuff. Lovely colours too, not acres of solely pink, lots of teal/turquoise and purples/mauves/blues.

Oh to have a tiny girl again Mine are too big now for most of the really cute things.
