Cardies / jumpers for postnatal droopy muffintop

My, that sounds attractive. Anybody got any good shape suggestions? - trying to avoid Scylla and Carybdis [sic] of clinging to said droopy place and ballooning over it in still pregnant fashion. Also if these things could be available by post. so not asking much. On a Sunday night. Would be grateful.

wrappage v good for saggy tums, but avoid those long straight cardies with a tie belt, as the tie rides up leaving flob exposed. Monsoon have several good ones on this page - this one excellent if long enough.

jumpers tricky - the extra-long tunicy type could work so long as not tight over tum. Topshop have some fake-wrap ones as well.

I have a really nice long, heavy jumper from East (some of their stuff is nice tho most of it is a bit ageing hippy) which is perfect for this. It's neither pregnancy-style billowing nor clinging - the heaviness makes it just skim. So you need heavy knits which luckily are in this season I hear. Also higher-waisted jeans are in the shops at the moment which might help.

I think "postnatal droopy muffintop" is so apt it needs to be a mumsnet acronym - PDM.

Really Mrs B? My instinct is to trust you implicitly due to your previous excellent steers but wrappage? Isn't that like tying suasages round your waist in trems of bulk? Hmm hmm hmm, this is messing with my previous theories on the subject - but these were no more developed than "what about some squarish hoody things? Maybe I really am too old for squarish hoody things". Heavy knits sound good snowleopard - will they fit under coats I wonder. will investigate these thoughts, thanks

Krabbie - do not be put off by wrap tops, they are perfect for post-pregnancy bulge. The reason is they focus your eyes away from the tummy to the chest. I wear them all the time - and wrap dresses.

...and of course the soft folds of fabric across tum fool viewer into thinking all the folds are fabric and not flob. Add bold necklace and/or low-cut white top underneath to make the most of the postnatal cleavage.

Squarish hoody things may be passable only if you are small of nork and sylph-like in other areas or if actually a surfer; FatFace, White Stuff etc tops always seem to come up short as well, which is definitely not what you need.

topshop have some cool school-jumper type jumpers which are long enough to reach over the muffin top. They fit in with the blokewear trend this autumn.

Quite excited now - will try one each of school jumper and wrappage cardy and post them back if no good. What would one wear with one of these wrappy style cardies though? I mean on the bottom half not the bit covered in bold accessories and lowcut tops. I do now see my square hoodies were for the figure I thought I had and the lifestyle I never had.
