I'm very dark haired, very fair skinned, very hairy Sad the older I get the more of a 'tache I seem to have and I need to tackle it. Having used a few methods that haven't worked well and wasted money on rubbish products, I'd love to hear what really works please! If money was no object I'd have laser treatment but that's just not an option at the moment. I did try threading but found I got quite spotty, then veet removal cream but that didn't deal with the dark/course stuff. Also used Nair wax strips but again they left behind the thicker stuff. Help me I hate it! Thank you

I know you said that laser isn't an option at the moment, but that's what I was going to recommend. Mine costs £50 a session and lasts for a few months. Groupon of have regular deals eg £100 for 5 sessions or something.

Electrolysis? I got some done, but it was leaving marks on my skin, so I stopped.

If you have tried, veet, waxing, threading, then there aren't many other options. Some women on here recommend using a special cotton bud type device which you twist and it catches the hair and pulls it out by the root. Although I don't see it being much different to threading.

You would be ideal for laser and frankly nothing else is going to be as good. Just totting up how much you would spend on another method in a year will rapidly cost the same as a small Phillips Lumea if you can't afford a salon or clinic.

Thanks chanie I'm almost tempted to ask for laser for my birthday/Xmas pressie from dh!!! So it sounds like laser lasts a few months but not forever as some places seem to claim?
I think I am wondering if a pot of wax rather than the ready strips work ok of this is yet another waste of cash?

I got my laser on living social. It was £50 for 6 sessions. I've had 2 and already notice a huge difference.

kundry thank you, do you have a lumea? I was just worried about cost of it then it not being v good, but would be brilliant to have something like that at home if it does....hmmm very unromantic Xmas pressie idea I think may be the answer!

Wow shutit that's a bargain, where do you live?!? I'm in south east and you'd pay that for a single session here.
