Dry and lifeless coloured hair

After many, many years of really short hair I've managed to grow my hair to a chin length bob. But now it's dull and lifeless. It's dyed to keep the greys at bay, which may not help.

Can anyone suggest a shampoo and conditioner, or other miracle, that will make my hair look nice and glossy??

Thanks.

What sort of dye are you using? Is your hair curly or straight?
For my (curly) bob, I've made a big difference by using henna/indigo for colour, and trying to cut out silicones and sulphates. Look at threads on here about the "curly girl method" if you're curly, or wavy. Can't help with straight hair though!

Hi. My hair is straight with a little wave. Hair coloured at the hairdressers - Schwartzkopf I think.

I have straight and fine hair which is horrid condition, having always been very healthy and glossy in the past it now looks like Worzal gummidge! So in my desperation I had a consultation at hairdressers and he convinced me to buy "matrix" shampoo conditioner and another thing you put on to dry your hair for "fragile and damaged" hair I think it's called. Its basically trying to restore the protein in my hair which I don't understand as I thought hair was dead.... Anyway, used all 3 products today for the first time and its amazing- everyone at work thought I'd been to the hairdressers and even my husband asked if I'd had my hair cut!! I think it must depend what type of hair you have and what type of "treatment" you need but may be worth having a consultation.... I am aware the hairdressers are trying to sell products to make £, however I am v impressed!!

Thanks for the tips - I'll have a look at both of those.
I've never heard of 'elasticiser'. Can I ask what it does?
Thanks

Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser (have a look on the PK website, M&S sell it , so do QVC)
Phillip Kingsley is a trichologist so his products are more scalp/hair care than cosmetic.
With Elasticiser you need to apply onto damp hair, leave it on (I leave it overnight) then rinse and wash as normal.
You do need to do a few treatments to get the full benefit.

My No1 tip for shiney hair - cold rinse after washing. Wink. It works.
