...for sensitive, dry skin that is prone to flakiness?

I am currently using a Mandara Spa one from Sainsburys which smells lovely and chocolatey but is poo coloured. It looks like I've done a dirty protest in the shower every time I use it. Its got to go.

Any recommendations (non brown coloured please!)

Soap & glory do one called Scrub Actually which has a fair bit of oil in it so it spread easily and is moisturising. It smells gorgeous.

They also do one that smells of maple syrup called Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub that is more abrasive but very effective. Smells so good I was actually tempted to taste it. Blush I didn't.

If neither of those appeal or are to perfumed for your sensitive skin, look for a sugar based one with oils. The sugar is good at scrubbing but melts quite quickly so it's not too scratchy and the oils will help with the flaking.

Ooh I have used S&G stuff in the past and loved it so maybe its time to give it another go. Thanks!

I love the Sanctuary Spa salt scrub, you use it in the bath then lay and let the oil melt into your skin - I am glowing when I've finished!

bonzo77 · 01/07/2014 22:27

those scratchy exfoliating gloves are great. no detergent to dry your skin, no bits to rinse out the bath or to be environmentally unfriendly.

goodasitgets · 01/07/2014 23:30

This company
You can add Shea butter to your scrub and select fragrance free
I have pale sensitive skin though and have never reacted to any of her products. It's scrubby but not scratchy, and foams too

MotherBluestocking · 01/07/2014 23:33

Ren Rose Otto scrub is just the best in the world. You can use it on wet or dry skin - probably your skin is too sensitive to use it on dry.

Oops helps if I add link Grin

Garnier body tonic sugar scrub is award winning and fabulous.

FoxyHarlow123 · 01/07/2014 23:41

And this is genius. You just add a sprinkle to your own body wash www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00819TBZM?pc_redir=1403213763&robot_redir=1

I like Soap and Glory "Scrub of Your Life"

it smells divine, is quite forgiving but buffs up my legs and upper arms a treat

AlfAlf · 02/07/2014 00:11

I love REN Rose Otto Scrub too. Expensive though..
You could try making your own? there's lots of recipes if you google.
One I've done and really liked is equal parts coconut oil and brown sugar with a teaspoon of vanilla essence. Another (I invented this one) is equal parts olive oil and Epsom salts with juice of a lemon and a handful of chopped mint.

butterfliesinmytummy · 02/07/2014 00:18

Origins ginger scrubs is gorgeous, or my own morning scrub made up of ground coffee, coarse salt, brown sugar and coconut oil.

SunnyUpNorth · 02/07/2014 12:40

Another vote for the sanctuary salt scrub, it smells divine and actually works. It also leaves you smelling nice for hours after! I always regret when I run out and get tempted by a different scrub and wish I had just bought that one again.

thoughtsbecomethings · 02/07/2014 20:45

And another vote for the salt scrub by sanctuary. It is soo good and leaves your skin so soft and moisturized.
It was recommended to me on here !

Only1scoop · 02/07/2014 20:47

Rub all over dry skin then shower off.

Only1scoop · 02/07/2014 20:48

Ps it's clear not brown Grin

misscph1973 · 02/07/2014 20:53

Mix sea salt with olive oil and scrub away.

Alternatively get a abitofrough.com/ wash cloth. I got one for my self and my SIL, she's a beauty therapist, and she was seriously impressed.

Sugar + avocado oil + essential oil of your choosing. Love it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/07/2014 21:54

I really don't like oil scrubs , I find they leave a 'coating' on my skin.
But I have the L'Occitane Almond Scrub which is nice, slightly foamy.

Pregnantagain7 · 02/07/2014 22:26

Else is lime and ginger salt scrub, it's pricey but totally gorgeous your skin feels amazing afterwards.

buttercrumble · 03/07/2014 09:44
