Seemed to me that none of the girls were really wearing the right size?! Particularly the first girl. TOTALLY the wrong size Shock

The Tango doesn't work for me either. I have quite a lot of projection so 'shallow' bras don't work well. I stick to the Panache Idina, Cleo Juna/Marcie/Lily etc. and Ewa Michalak CHPs styles.

Have you tried the Jasmine? It's quite good for deeper boobs. When did you last go to Bravissimo? I've not known them to find someone a pretty perfect bra.

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:14

Sorry, forgot to mention that CK bras usually come up small in the cup so if a CK 34K is too small then you probably need about a 34K in Panache etc, maybe JJ in Freya/Fantasie (although I find that those are bad for E/W!)

LaurieFairyCake · 01/07/2014 17:16

They don't have the larger sizes in my local one - woman said I'd need to get them made for me when I went in last Hmm

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:18

What? That's rubbish, they should be able to order in for you at least! I've a friend who wears a 34KK/L and orders on-line from Bravissimo all the time. Maybe that's the way to go?

Which branch was it?

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:24

Have you tried the Alana?

CK have very wide bras whereas bras with narrow wires and deep cups (e.g. Cleos, Polish brands) are better for keeping everything at the front.

I'll shut up now... Grin

lotusisaddictive · 01/07/2014 17:30

Does that bra measuring guide if you have less than pert boobs?

When I bend over 90 degrees they look like snooker balls in a sack to put it bluntly Grin

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:31

Yes but bear in mind that the size is just a starting point. It sounds like you have more fullness on the bottom of your breasts so you may want to try something that gives good lift, probably a balconette style.

LaurieFairyCake · 01/07/2014 17:33

I like the look of that Alana bra - will be giving that a go Smile

It was the St. Albans branch

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:35

The Alana is very popular. Give some consideration to ordering from Ewa Michalak or Comexim. The lift and shape their bras give is really beyond compare!

Marrow · 01/07/2014 17:38

I didn't see This Morning but I got measured today for the first time in five years.

For the first time ever the wires are flat against me and there is no gap. My boobs also don't drop out of the bottom! Grin I bought a Panache bra in a 34G and it is really comfy. I had been wearing a 38D. I am a little confused about how a 34 inch band fits when I am now a size 18 but it does!

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:44

A 34" band is very common for someone who is a size 18. I know size 14s who wear 28/30" bands too. Where did you get measured? It sounds like you've ended up with a great fit!

turdfairynomore · 01/07/2014 17:45

I've just realised that the This Morning segment was about well fitting bras!! It was on in the gym with no sound and so I watched it thinking it was about poorly fitting ones!!! Oops!!

Marrow · 01/07/2014 17:48

Sorrel - it was a small independent shop near me. I was very impressed. I'm now on the lookout for 34G bras in the sales but worried I might be a different size in different makes.

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 17:52

Oooh name them. It's always good to hear about a shop that does proper fittings. Which bra did you buy? One of us should be able to suggest suitable alternatives.

JennyOnTheBlocks · 01/07/2014 17:55

I ditched my nasty 38/40 dds for 34ff after reading these intervention threads, and thought I'd got it right

Did a proper 'scoop' this morning and feel like Katy Price in a bra that was almost baggy yesterday Shock

Didn't see the TV segment, pretty glad people here know what they're talking about instead

ggirl · 01/07/2014 17:57

Laurie- have you tried Prima Donna bras? Their dueville is really comfy . Worth trying although very expensive I ditched all ,y fantasie ones and bought 3 . Would never go back .

Marrow · 01/07/2014 18:03

Sorrel - it was a Panache Porcelain Viva. Would be great if you know of others that fit similarly. I would name the shop but as I live in a very small village I'm afraid it might out me! Will have to name change on a different thread one day so I can recommend them!

Jumblebee · 01/07/2014 18:22

The first girl, the pink was the best but was WAY too small! The black strapless was way too small, she was bulging over the top and you could see it through her dress Confused

I can't believe that woman is actually talking about how good these bras are when the person modelling them doesn't even fit INTO them. I don't think I can watch anymore Shock

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 18:29

marriednotdead is the real expert and hopefully she'll drop in on this thread with some suggestions. I would guess that other Panache moulded styles could work for you e.g. the Panache Idina moulded bra.

It would be worth trying other Panache/Cleo bras. I find that I'm the same size in most of them.

Fantasie do moulded smooth bras too but most people tend to get on with either Panache/Cleo or Fantasie/Freya.

alemci · 01/07/2014 18:37

are fantasie/freya the same manufacturer?

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/07/2014 18:40

FFS, this is annoying me already. That first bra is awful!

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/07/2014 18:45

Tweeted this morning - bloody nora!

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 18:54

Yep, Fantasie, Freya, Fauve and Elomi are made by the Eveden group. Panache, Cleo, Sculptress and Masquerade are all made by Panache.

SorrelForbes · 01/07/2014 19:11

Stats: Did you tweet as 'Bra Guru'?

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/07/2014 19:15

Naturally ;)
