I have my first interview in several years on Thursday - in a non customer facing service role in a bank.

I ordered a few suits to try on - 2 grey - 1 skirt, 1 trouser and 1 navy (which looks like it won't arrive in time).
I've tried on both grey suits but I feel ridiculously uncomfortable in them. Both need alterations and I don't feel confident in them. It looks like I'm wearing a suit of DPs.

Do I need to wear a suit for the interview? I could do temporarily take in and shorten the trousers myself if necessary but the whole suit makes me feel uncomfortable.

Can anyone suggest smart non suit options or things I can order right now to arrive by Thursday?

I'm 5ft 2 and a size 8. Thanks Smile

enormouse report back!! Smile how did it go??

standingonlego · 04/07/2014 13:55

We have been thinking of you, hope it went really well.

Hi all, it went ok. I think. Will find out next week if I've got it or not.
So fingers crossed Smile.

The dress was a bit of a disappointment when it arrived. Lovely dress and great fit. But it's not the grey colour it appears online. It's actually a bright blue/teal green colour shot with sparkly threads. Hmm. So I shelved it and wore a blue shirt with a brown pencil skirt.
