Help with humungous spot!

SurfBoredCat · 29/06/2014 21:46

I have a spot that has erupted on my forehead.
It has no head but is throbbing and aching constantly and looks as though I am growing another head.

I've slathered my face in Sudocrem, which usually works, but it is still there, still throbbing and still growing!
Sod's law that I am going out this Friday for a work party and I really have to resist massacring my face to relieve the pain so I need a homely remedy that'll get rid of it ASAP.
I don't have much in but I'll try anything!

Try putting a plaster on it over night. It will draw it out. Then hopefully it will pop and relieve the pressure.

I had one erupt o my chin last week and did this. Worked a treat and popping it was very satisfying Grin

Try ibuprofen gel and a plaster over the top to draw the bugger out.

Then in the morning if it has a head, squeeze the pus out really carefully and clean up with tea tree oil. Then put some more ibuprofen gel on it.

Within 24hrs it should have dried out. For the next few days cover the dried out husk in Bepanthan and by night Bepanthan with a plaster on top.

Hope that works!

Something like oxy10 would work or quinoderm

PolkaSpottyDotty · 29/06/2014 21:56

You need this to be in chat with a klaxon for the sporners!!

I think the recommended gloop is mag sulph and heat to draw out the pus.

Wishfulmakeupping · 29/06/2014 21:57

By fri it will he fine- you need to dry it out seeing as it's just popped stick some toothpaste on it overnight. Then during the day put perfume (cheaper the better) directly on it before you put any make up on it
Promise it works :)

SurfBoredCat · 29/06/2014 21:57

Really as simple as that?
It's agony and I can't stop touching it to see if it's got any bigger! Grin

Put this in chat and put klaxon in the title. You'll be given lots of ideas, for pastes and bottle tricks and squeezing methods. You may have to provide pictures. And be excruciatingly detailed.

HTH.

Magnesium sulphate paste with a plaster over the top will draw it to a beautiful head which you can then burst and tell us all about. Pictures or a video too would be greatly appreciated. Ta.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 29/06/2014 22:07

Ah, I was going to say mag sulphate paste with a plater on top is the way forward.

A picture might help

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2014 22:07

Yep, mag sulph paste works.

Or just leave it alone, harsh chemicals just irritate the skin & make it more inflamed.

Step away from the dettoll, it's a spot not a kitchen floor.

evelynj · 29/06/2014 22:08

Wow I'm jealous now. I want a humongous spot just to try the plaster & pop in the morning thing.

Is mag sulphate like sudocrem? Will this work on small spots.

Please update OP & good luck ;)

SurfBoredCat · 29/06/2014 22:09

Crossed posts with lots of you!
There's nothing to see at the moment so the sporners would be disappointed - it's just a great big lump but I have form for squeezing until I rip my face to shreds so I'm having to sit on my hands!
I haven't got any ibuprofen gel so I'll try the toothpaste/plaster solution and hope it at least stops growing overnight!

For future reference - what on earth is magnesium sulphate and where do I buy it?

OP posts:
IwishIwasmoreorganised · 29/06/2014 22:14

From any chemist.

It's like a paste and it works wonders with these painful, anonymous (no heads) spots!

SurfBoredCat · 29/06/2014 22:41

I am a real beauty: white Sudocrem face with a disney princess plaster covering a mass of the kids' toothpaste. Here's hoping I don't get an early morning delivery for something or have to evacuate the house in the night! Grin
