Not a mix up at all. I just don't know how to explain it any more clearly than I have done without being able to draw a picture.

It definitely needs practice.
It's really disconcerting trying to pee standing up whilst fully clothed. It goes against decades of conditioning and the first few times I tried to use it for real I just couldn't get anything to come out.

I love mine. I bought it for camping but sometimes get it out and use it when I'm at home, just for the thrill of it.

The trick I've found (for me obvs) is to not hold it too far back- and use a light touch, no need to clamp it to the body as long as it's positioned correctly.

Oh I might have a bed time standy up wee tonight...

Watch out sirnoel, or you'll start to think with it Wink

I use a tomee tippy potette with bag liners. I kneel over it and sit on it but the weight is on my knees iykwim. Dead easy. No spills and not really any different to sitting on a loo. Tie the bag up. Job done. It folds up and takes up very little room too.

Agree with Itsallgoing but just want to add that if you really feel the need you can buy biodegradable loopaper from some camping shops. But bury it or heap lots of earth on top of it after using. And there are always leaves and moss and dried grass (as used for millenia by past peoples).

If you're worried about exposure, then pop on one of those long, cheap, sunray-pleated, lightweight, hippy-style skirts over your trousers, and spread it around you like a tent as you crouch down.

Then 'wash' your hands using hand sanitising gel - you can get little travel bottles. No problem!

Thank you so much for your advice, **SmellsOfBiscuits. I have been struggling with my new Shewee and worrying about an upcoming trip that will put me at some toilets and squatters that I want nothing to do with. Your details did the trick for me and helped me work out how to create the seal I need in order to relax and pee already! The vagina placement is right for me whereas the "against the perineum" advice on the Shewee website isn't quite right for me. The tip-just-inside-the-vagina placement puts the funnel where it needs to be – at the urethra, which (for those commenters who seem confused) is in front of the vagina, which is the direction the device points in. Perfect.

ChilliAndMint · 13/08/2015 03:24

How did I end up here,?

ChilliAndMint · 13/08/2015 03:25

Ah a wee troll ?

PetiteBateau · 13/08/2015 08:43

Oh dear, I don't understand why that poster is inserting the thing into her vaginaGrin

trollkonor · 13/08/2015 10:37

Where are you going camping? At most campsites the toilets are clean and plentiful. Take some of those moist toilet wipes and wipe the seat if the6 dont look so great.

I use a shewee when doing long walks or festival toilets.

TheCowThatLaughs · 13/08/2015 10:56

Some women do have the urethra very very close or even just inside the entrance to the vagina

Dollydewdrop21 · 13/08/2015 12:09

I suggest a camping loo for the tent. Really just a posh bucket with a seat and it saves trekking to loos in middle of the night. Was only £10. If you clean it throughly you can pack stuff in it to save space in the car.
