Fitflop Patent Dué - do they stretch ?

My eagerly awaited, worn only once, Fitflop Dués in discontinued inky blue arrived today after a successful bidding war on eBay

I am normally a size 39 (which I think is a 6). I tried on a friend's size 6 Dués & they were way too long. As I can't find a half size I bid on a pair of size 5s. They are quite narrow but worse, my toes are a bit cramped in them. Normally I would not put up with this but like them so much I am willing them to stretch

In summary....does anyone have experience of slightly too small patent (I suspect the plain leather are softer) Dués and did they stretch ?

No.

I have a pair and they ripped my feet to shreds worse than anything else for years.

I still live in hope though so will try again when my feet have recovered as I love them

Sorry to be discouraging but, having worn lots of Fitflops, do find the Due come up narrower/ tighter than others and sent mine back for that reason.

I think bring patent will only make this effect worse. You could go to a good shoe repair place and ask them to stretch them , though I don't know if this will work.

This is no help to you but I love the fitflop Jones loafers. They're gorgeous. Sell your too small pair and start again.

very smart

Hmm, have you seen them in RL?

Saw them the other day in a Fitflop shop ( in Italy - wish we had some like that stocking whole range in UK, so could try before buying) and I though they looked sort of clumpy IYKWIM.

I think it's something to do with the large rectangle on the front - but perhaps that's what makes them stylish. Certainly quirky.

You could try having them stretched at a cobblers or wearing them around the house with thick sports socks.

I have used this before successfully on patent leather (though not fitflops) clarks shoe stretch spray, you spray it in your shoes then wear them, the leather "gives" to the shape of your feet.
or, wooden shoe stretchers??
