I know this has been done to death but I am breast feeding and need help.

I have two great underwire feeding bras but now ds is 9mo my ribcage has shrunk back and I've lost lots of weight and they are too big.

One is a 38f and one a 38g. The f is a touch small in the cup - indicated by the centre part coming away from my breastbone and sticking out a bit.
Both are huge in the band. I think I might have to go down to a 34 even but I'm not sure.... The 38 is in the tightest hooks and can spin right round.

My pre-preg sports bras which I am wearing (though only for an hour at a time) are 36DD and 34E (two diff styles).

If I were to order a 34 in the feeding bra what cup should I get? Still a G?
What about if I ordered a 36?

I will be ordering online (Anita bra) so need the best guess possible.

What do you measure:thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html

If you can give your measurements we'll work it out. Note that Anita don't directly translate as they miss out some cup sizes (they don't do double letters) but if you can measure I'll tell you where to start

Ok. I measure 32 and 42.
Officially that makes me 32GG but I think 32 will be too tight. My shock absorber sports bras in 34 are as tight as I can take when I do the putting it on backwards thing.
So I think I'll try 34G. This seems right as the cups on the 38G fit ok, a little baggy but I think that's the too large band.

Would you agree??

try a 32gg, you may be surprised.

Shock absorbers run small in the band - almost everyone has to size up in them so you can't really use them to judge.

A 32GG in normal bras would be about a 32J in Anita I believe although it looks like they stop at 32I. A 34G would be smaller in the cups than a 38G as cup size is relative to band; in normal sizing a 32gg=34G=36ff=38f, roughly speaking. In Anita, a 32J=34I=36H=38G.

I didn't know that about shock absorber. Thanks.

So if the cup of the existing Anita 38g fits then in a 32 I want a j (or in 34 an i).

Cool. Will go see what I can get.

As you say, they only go up to i.
I think I'll try 34i and if it's too big send it back. I am probably only feeding during the day for another 3mo or so anyway... Expect it'll all change again when I stop bf entirely.

I'd probably order the 32I and the 34I - I think the cups on Anita are quite stretchy and it would at least allow you to see how a 32 band fits (try it back to front first.)

It will probably change when you stop feeding - in which direction or by how much is impossible to guess though.

Thanks!!
