I want something new for DD's christening. I'm looking for something not too formal, appropriate for the summer (optimistically hoping for nice weather) and suitable for breastfeeding. Which of the following options would you choose:

Option 1 - Joules V neck dress

Option 2 - Baukjen skirt paired with shirt one tee for feeding

Prefer Baukjen dress or cream Joules one.

Thanks all. I was worried about the print of the joules dress being mumsy so think I will avoid that. I like the look of the baukjen dress thanks Vikkil but is it a bit heavy for the summer? Also, based on my experience of Isabella Oliver I was going to go for a size 10 (pre-preg size 12 but the incessant breastfeeding has slimmed me down a bit). What's your view of the sizing?

Hmmm, I don't think it would be too hot, but I think anything you choose in jersey will be hotter than cotton or linen on a really hot day. I'd say it was true to size, but it is slim fitting. if you are normally a 12, I'd be tempted to go with that.

Have you looked at White Co for Jersey dresses? Neutral colours only, but sale is on and they usually do some kind of wrap style dress which might work for bf..

Not much help really, but good luck!

I have the baukjen skirt in wine and in black and it is very flattering on. I don't find it flashes to much leg, in the winter I usually wear footless tights and high ankle type boots teamed with a fitted style top and either a biker jacket or a short boxy jacket and it always looks very glam.

I think you would get loads more wear from the skirt to be honest as you can wear it at any time of year dress it up or down. I really love mine and was tempted to buy a third one! But thought that's being a bit greedy.

I also threw this in to the shopping bag on impulse. It arrived today and it is great for feeding. The neckline is quite loose and stretchy so it can pull down to expose the boob. Either a well placed scarf or bandeau top underneath will protect my modesty. The only problem is that I now want both dresses in all the different colours!
