Alternative to Birkies?

I would like to get some really comfortable sandals as I do quite a bit of walking but I don't think Birkies are right.
I have a pair of Madrids and they clack about and I tried on a pair of Arizonas as these looked better with the double strap, but I could fit my hand between the side of my foot and the side of the shoes (near the buckle).
I would rather avoid toe posts so think I may need to find another brand.

Any suggestions please?

Clarks version of birkenstocks, they are super comfortable,I can walk miles in them and they come up narrower.

Try the narrow fit birkies

I could walk forever in my Birkenstock Gizehs - toe posts though. They only took a day to break in.

I also walked all over Rome for 4 days in some Fitflops - toe posts again though, and I don't like the look of them as much.

I haven't tried them yet but have been looking at Teva, a friend has a pair and says they're super comfy.

I sized down on my gizehs, they would have been like boats otherwise

Scholl Bioprint is a footbed that I find far more comfy than Birkenstock's.

I've got a pair of sandals very similar to their Lusaka's (Diamond wedge) which is in it's third summer of an on-your-feet-all-day job. I will wear them until they disintegrate as nothing beats them for comfort- I have a foot condition similar to Plantar Fasciitis. I've got Birkenstock Gizeh's but they don't work as well. The Scholl ones are less clunky too which is good because I have skinny ankles and look like a duck in Birkies.

Thanks all will look at the toe posts plus the Clarks and Scholl - I also have skinny ankles so birkies can look a bit mad on me.
Where did you find your Scholl sandals married?

I have some el naturalist a sandals that are very comfy and have lasted for ages and are great for walking.

Bizarrely they were in a large independent chemists a couple of miles from me- it seems to be quite a common outlet for them. Then again, they do other footcare products so perhaps it makes sense. I'm seriously considering ordering the Lusaka's from anywhere I can find them online if they're not in the same chemist the next time I go through.
My only issue is usually that I'm quite skinny footed but as the Lusaka's are adjustable on both straps, they should be fine Smile

I've got some Scholls which are 8 years old this summer and still going strong (I bought two pairs the same, the other ones bit the dust a couple of years ago). They have been the comfiest sandals I've ever had but they don't do that footbed any more.

Scholls always used to be sold in local chemists when I was growing up, it was mainly the ones with the wooden soles back then, I liked clacking round the house in my mum's
