Quick one for bra interventionists

Could you tell me where I am going wrong if the straps are slipping off my shoulders. Massive massive knockers, have bought bra according to "the rules" but it rubs under pits and the straps are forever falling off.

Is it a style thing? If so please recommend a bra for a 36jj (and a tankini if poss!)

I am most grateful. And also apologise that it isn't such a short one after all. Wink

Straps slipping off shoulders is usually an indicator that the band is too big. You may be someone that needs a smaller band than you actually measure. If you put your 36 on back to front, how far can you pull it away from your body?

Alternatively, it might be a style issue. What bra is it?

Partridge · 19/06/2014 14:54

I can pull it out a bit (on the loosest strap). It's a panache - not sure which style. Also rubs under armpits so can't imagine a tighter band Confused.

Panache have fiendishly tall cups so especially for people with breasts which are high on their torso /close to armpits they are a nightmare. Can you link to the bra please

Partridge · 19/06/2014 15:52

Ah... That may make sense. So I have found it - here

A little nervous that it won't pass the interventionists test Blush. Grateful for feedback though. I have also ordered this. Any thoughts? If I had to describe my breasts I would say they are very soft, large and averagely set. Rather floppy after 4 years bf too Blush.

Many thanks - you are doing a great service for the sisterhood...

And if you could be bothered to signpost me to any amazing bras/swimwear for my shape I would be eternally grateful.

I'm a fan of halter neck swimwear for lift reasons! Have a look at the Bravissimo site for swimwear for JJ cup. The Monaco looks nice and balconette styles should work for you (although you may get strap slip age if the straps are set very wide).

Partridge · 19/06/2014 16:41

Thanks sorrel, but I definitely cannot wear a bikini. I think a long tankini that can support tummy and boobs is best for me.

One

Bloody phone. One thing to watch with Tankinis is if you have a defined waist they just roll up and hide in it -not nice!

Partridge · 19/06/2014 23:50

I definitely domt. Overweight, up and down. Sounding attractive! A one piece tends to squash me in all the wrong places - tanking breaks it up.

Ugh - don't and tankini.

Both the styles you have linked to are balconettes. This means that the straps are set to the outer edge of the cups. The full cup style straps are more centred so less likely to slip off. Panache used to do a full cup version of the Melody in your first link but that's been phased out. The best alternative by them at the moment is the Rhapsody, whose wires are set in a wider curve so may not be as stabby.
If that still sticks into you then try another brand such as Fantasie.
