Cleo bras. OMG.

After the recent thread on best ever mumsnet suggestions I went on the Bravissimo website and bought Cleo bras.

They fit my 36Es perfectly without making them look like bazookas, and are ridiculously comfortable. Not expensive either.

I can now chuck my horrible recent M&S purchase, thank god. I am never buying another kind of bra again!!!

Thank you mumsnet goddesses!

Hurrah! now what do the tiny titted amongst us do?

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 18:59

Measure yourself according to this guide rootypig...

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals · 19/06/2014 19:00

Ooh, I'm a big fan of the juna. I got a bravissimo plunge one recently and it's okay but not as comfy

rootypig · 19/06/2014 19:11

Thanks Statistically! I'll need to get a tape measure first Grin

Any small breasted women who have bra / brand recommendations, I'm all ears. I have a long standing loathing of underwiring, but am open to conversion...

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 19:24

What size do you wear just now rootypig, and what sort of dress size are you?

Hatred of underwires normally means you've been wearing one that doens't fit right ;)

rootypig · 19/06/2014 19:29

Well I generally buy soft bras from fashion shops that don't come in a bra size, iyswim, so I wear a size small, or I wear my dress size. Which is a 10. Support is not a critical issue Grin But shaping is increasingly on my mind!

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 19:31

Ha ha ok. Any idea what size the wired bras you've tried were?

rootypig · 19/06/2014 19:32

Probably a 34B Blush

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 19:37

No wonder you were uncomfortable. Most people who are a size 10 are more like a 28 or 30 band when fitted properly. If you "filled" that 34b, but just found it bloody uncomfortable then you'll probably find you're more in the region of a 30DD or something!

PS before you go "Nutter, I don't have DDs!" look at this link

rootypig · 19/06/2014 19:38

But the band around the bra seemed to fit me fine, snug even? Isn't that the 34 bit? or am I totally misunderstanding Confused

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals · 19/06/2014 20:00

It's because your boob is in the band rather than the cup

rootypig · 19/06/2014 20:03

aha and hmmmm

I will measure!

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 20:13

Yes, they're not independent. If the cup is too small, then the cups nick the fabric from the band. So instead of the wires being just outside your breast tissue and the band going from there round to the clasp, the wires sit on breast tissue (uncomfortable but not always obvious) and the band starts on your breasts meaning it feels tight. When you go up in the cup, the band suddenly sits where it belongs and you realise it's too big

trick if you still have any of them - try the bugger on back to front. that means you can see how the band fits without any cup related issues

NumptyNu · 19/06/2014 21:38

Ooooh, could anyone post alike to the Cleo? I can't see iron Bravissimo's site?

NumptyNu · 19/06/2014 21:39

a link

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/06/2014 21:41

Cleo is a brand rather than a specific bra - linky

NumptyNu · 20/06/2014 07:00

Got it. Yes, they are lovely. Bravissimo are pretty good at dealing with boobs generally. It's a long time since I shopped there, so thanks for the reminder. I've been making to with basic t-shirt bras from m&s.

I'll be off to have a look!

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/06/2014 08:50

Bravissimo are so much better than pretty much everywhere else tbh!
