I've got £40 to spend and I thought I would easily find something in clarks, or somewhere boring!
But there was nothing I really liked and that was comfy aswell, I want them for walking around on days out etc in the summer, ideally not a toe post, and a thickish sole.
The only ones that I liked and were comfy in clarks was these but obvs they are toe post. I also like these but im not keen on the ankle strap, and they are a bit expensive....
fussy aren't I?

Ok Modcloth charges 20 bucks for shipping, forget them!

sergeantmajor · 12/06/2014 14:32

I have been dithering over many of the Camper sandals, which I dearly love and are always comfortable, but £99? Really? I'm not sure that I could.
I am wrestling with my conscience over this pair
Although I would spend more than that on winter boots, sandals are just teeny straps on a sole so it seems hard to justify.
Somebody tell me that I'm worth it!

hollyisalovelyname · 12/06/2014 16:42

You have to have great ankles and long skinny legs for sandals with ankle straps Tethers.
Sadly I don't Hmm

rootypig · 12/06/2014 16:50

depends where the strap falls holly! you're right if it cuts horizontally at or above the ankle - the higher up, the worse your problem Grin. But if it curves below the ankle, along the line of the foot, you've a change of getting away with it.

I have legs about as long as a beetle's! Grin

sergeant, you are worth it!

tethersend · 12/06/2014 16:50

No you don't Holly- I have neither skinny legs nor great ankles and the ankle strap on the esska ones sits in just the right place. It actually does my legs a favour!

But yes, I agree that you have to be very careful with ankle straps unless legs are amazing.

ZenNudist · 12/06/2014 17:27

Like those campers but £99!

aoife24 · 12/06/2014 18:39

Well, someone is bound to say it so it might as well be me: Saltwater, comfy (but very flat) and a wide range of colours. Some people on here loathe them but I have a bit of a soft spot for them here!

aoife24 · 12/06/2014 19:22

Oops, my bad, Saltwaters are mentioned up thread.

Cahu5 · 12/06/2014 19:29

Tethers, leopard sandals are gorgeous !

tethersend · 12/06/2014 20:11

A colleague was wearing this version the other day, I was quite taken with them.

grumblepuss · 12/06/2014 20:11

I've got camper boots and they've lasted well and are very comfy.
I think they came from Amazon... Might be worth a look there?

hollyisalovelyname · 12/06/2014 21:27

Tethers are you tall ?That makes a difference too.

tethersend · 13/06/2014 14:03

Am 5'6"- not especially tall.

GreatSoprendo · 13/06/2014 14:32

Love the leopard. In fact Yokono has loads of great looking shoes on their site. Never come across them before. What's the quality like Tether? Very tempted by these.
Or these
Or maybe these

tethersend · 13/06/2014 14:54

The quality of my colleague's looked fantastic, Soprendo.

She'd bought hers last year and they still looked new.

Am quite tempted myself.

Spurtle · 13/06/2014 16:09

Love the yokono Cadiz. Anyone know what sizing is like? I'm between a four and a five and have wide feet.

tethersend · 13/06/2014 16:29

I'm between a 7 and an 8 with wide feet and called them to ask the exact same question Grin

They said to size down, so have ordered a 7. Will report back when they arrive.

Spurtle · 13/06/2014 17:27

Excellent Tethers :)

rootypig · 13/06/2014 19:33

Gah am ignoring you all

I just bought these in Clarks today and they are not sandals but they are amazing, they are hairy!!! Grin

Nocomet · 13/06/2014 22:04

£35 slippers Confused, I never will get fashion.

IrianofWay · 13/06/2014 22:20

Merrel sienna. Love em! Have had 2 pairs and have worn them to death. So comfy

rootypig · 13/06/2014 22:43

Nocomet they are hairy!! Grin
actually since these are Clarks they actually have a proper sole, unlike my other fashionable slippers, and therefore are an enormously sensible purchase Grin

Iatemyskinnyperson · 16/06/2014 18:50

Tethers, I am very taken with 009L+shoes these

I'm looking for comfy sandals I could get away with wearing to the pub or out for a bite to eat. Did your colleagues look like they would be dressy enough for that?

I'm going on hols, I want one pair that I can wear out to eat etc

Did your colleagues shoes look like something you

frankietwospots · 16/06/2014 22:28

@ Fairylea - thanks for the M&S kids sandals recommendation. Bought the white ones in a size 6 today and they fit perfectly! Great with rolled up boyfriend jeans.

Ordered these in grey yesterday - envious of all these lovely sandals but these are perfect for those of us like me who feel the need to hide our ironically-named sandal toes.
