I'm gorgeous I know Sad

I not totally sure if it is a wart but it looks like one, small hard round looking lump.

I've had it for years, definitely not a spot. You can really notice it, but I do.

Does anyone know of it's possible to get rid of such things?

Sorry for being gross!

No help at all, but I have one on my forehead and I have been considering what to do about it.
I am stunning by the way Wink

oh cripes, i have one on my nose, once every 10 months or so i get really angry at it and stab at it and try and 'pick' it off, and then it bleeds uncontrollably for a day. argh!!!! I have told it i hate it, but it still lingers. anyway - i'm just seeing if there is a solution really. I used to put a plaster on my wart with cotton wool soaked in white vinegar - it didnt do much :/

Theyre a type of mole. I have one, too. You can have them removed easily (local anaesthetic, very quick and painless apparently) but NHS wont do it. I looked into it a while back, but the doc said it would leave a small scar and prefer the mole to a scar., so decided against. Do NOT pick it!

iseenodust · 12/06/2014 11:24

Go to your GP and see if they can freeze it off.

Honsandrevels · 12/06/2014 11:29

I've got one too. I think a scar would be more noticeable than a flesh coloured mole so I'm leaving it be.

midnightmoomoo · 12/06/2014 11:36

I had on to one side of the tip of my nose and a few years ago I started getting shooting pains in if, like someone was poking it with a needle. Doctor referred me to a specialist and he took it off right there. The local anesthetic was really, eye wateringly painful, but it took less than ten mins. Had a scab for a few days but it healed perfectly, no scar at all which I'm pleased with as I get keloid scars and have had problems with excess scar tissue in the past.

This was about five years ago so I don't know if they've changed the regs, but in all honestly I wasn't after having it removed, they did it in response to the pains I was getting.

Spero · 12/06/2014 11:41

I had one removed when I was about 20, GP did it in his office, don't know if that's still possible. Minimal scaring, glad I did it because it did sometimes bleed.

HolgerDanske · 12/06/2014 11:57

Someone I know had one removed and it hardly left a mark. She's very happy she did it.

tethersend · 12/06/2014 12:27

Go to the GP and get it checked out- my mum had something similar a few years ago and it turned out to be (benign) skin cancer. I should add, it was removed very easily and she's had no problems since.

TweedleDi · 12/06/2014 13:25

I had this at only 30yrs old and it was a basal cell cancer. Only referred when I changed GP as normal GP assumed I was too young and made me feel vain for bothering him :-(

Get it checked. I had it removed. Although it is not a life-threatening thing, if not removed it will slowly grow and could eventually cause damage to underlying tissue and structure.

Sicaq · 12/06/2014 13:26

I've had similar frozen off my forehead. Best get it looked at in any event; easy to remove if GP thinks is's best.

LadySybilLikesCake · 12/06/2014 13:29

Ds (he's 15) has one which is slightly raised (but flat) and a little red. Is this what yours looks like? IIRC your GP can freeze warts.

Germgirl · 12/06/2014 13:30

I've got a bloody great wart right in the middle of my forehead. Finally got to see my GP about it the other day after trying to freeze it off & using Bazuka gel. He wanted to cut it off at first but my forehead skin is too tight & won't be pulled together well so I'm having it burnt off. Can't get an appointment for that till September though! :(
Go & see your GP OP, to see what your options are.

I had a teeny one at the side of my nose (at the top) and I used apple cider vinegar to get rid of it - you can find info about doing this online. Just buy apple cider vinegar (not just cider vinegar, needs to be one like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Braggs-Organic-Apple-Cider-Vinegar/dp/B001ID6MIC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1402580979&sr=8-2&keywords=bragg+vinegar), soak cotton wool in it and hold or tape it to the area for an hr or overnight. Best to google this as i can't remember exactly what I did but it did go! I think it might be coming back again though :(. Oh and the ACV did sting and it looked pretty red for a while (but coverable with makeup).

CookieB · 12/06/2014 17:44

I agree about the apple cider vinegar! Had a wart on my middle finger, filed the top very gently, soaked a cotton wool pad with the vinegar and kept it in place with a plaster overnight. Repeated this every night for a fortnight. Tis gone! Does stink though Confused.
