Benefit products - do you use any and which, if any, would you recommend?

I had a good mooch around their stuff in Debenhams today and was wondering if they're any good really.

I'm 40, have a few fine lines, no real wrinkles, very oily t-zone, and get red cheeks.

I really liked the look of the Porefessional products, especially the new one (can't remember the name - it's an anti-shine powder that has the brush in the lid).

Do people rate Benefit skin care and make up or is it not worth paying out for?

There was no one working the counter at the time so I couldn't ask any questions but I was thinking of going back and getting one of their make up lessons.

Any advice and experience would be most welcome!

faints did someone say Dandelion had been discontinued??? I used to love BadGal mascara but started having an allergic reaction to it recently.

Toadsrevisited · 12/06/2014 01:46

All their stuff is SCR but I especially like Dandelion, Benetint, Hello flawless foundation; wouldnt leave the house without Watts up highlighter glow stuff.

Toadsrevisited · 12/06/2014 01:46

SCR???? Ace!

Andallmyhopeisgone · 12/06/2014 02:39

Dandelion doesn't show up on me, and I'm quite pale Confused I love the Coralista and Rockateur blushers though. And Brow Zings is really good but loads of other less expensive brands have brought out similar versions now which may or may not be as good.

the foundation that comes in a case that looks like a record player doesn't last 2 minutesSad
slightly off topic but this month's Glamour has a free Eyeko eyeliner, & I'm sure i read there's either free benefit or clinique make up next month! Grin

PotatoPolly · 12/06/2014 02:49

i use Benefit for quite a long time now. big wonderful eyes is great. nice shadowas and applicators. coralista powder very good quality. lip tint. good. highligter good too. one of the best is lemon aid. love consistency and buildable coverage. and lasts for ages. i think they are not too bad. bit overprices and not enough shades.

AmethystMoon · 12/06/2014 14:14

Love Lemon Aid, it covers all the red and purple bits around my eyes and lids fantastically. I look younger and refreshed after using just that single product!
They're Real mascara is fab too. Stay Don't Stray works very well as a stay put base for concealer and eye makeup.
Erase paste and Boing are brilliant concealers.
Love Brow Zings which lasts forever.
Benefit are some of the few products I routinely re-purchase.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/06/2014 17:41

I think they're products are over rated and hugely over priced. I have tried bad gal mascara, it was quite possibly the worst mascara I have every used. Also, the boing concealer which was a perfect colour but stayed on exactly 5 mins.

This stuff isn't cheapShock I won't but anything else.

Beneshit

puddingisgood · 12/06/2014 17:42

I was wondering if anyone has used their skincare products?
They have a new serum out www.johnlewis.com/benefit-instant-comeback-facial-serum-30ml/p1385106 and I tried some in John Lewis and it seemed lovely. But it's £36, rather a lot for me.
Sorry if link doesn't work, not very good at them. Blush
