What makes a chic wedding outfit

Thinking about what to wear to a wedding this summer and was wondering what is the most chic outfit you have ever seen a someone wear to a wedding? I'm struggling to think of one myself - it seems like there is a bit of a uniform going on and everyone looks so similar.

Me too - going shopping but know the look I want. I'm aiming for a mad men style which flatters my curves and is understated yet sexy and elegant. Good hair is essential I'm having a bee hive put up done. Likewise good make-up.

Stay well clear of fascinators and orange tan I work in the industry and see absolute some shockers. Try and find something you feel comfortable in and will hopefully wear again. Enjoy!

I would love something floaty, silky and feminine - similar in style to how Princess Mary looked last week. Most of the stuff in the shops seems to be more fitted shgg245 so you shouldn't have too much trouble Smile.

My problem is huge tits for my quite small frame
and a lower jelly belly. Good waist. It's tricky. Floaty sounds lovely - I did that for ascot but alas it doesn't fit now .

In my experience the most elegant women seem to understand their body types seem comfortable. It's very difficult and o think you know straight away. No help but good luck! 'Smile

Oh yes I have this.

My problem is that I need to have trousers. I don't do skirts. I just don't. But finding trousers that look smart on me is always hard as I have short legs and short legs need a bit of extra work to look smart.

Why not book a complimentary stylist session with Debenhams or John Lewis? The stylist can give you ideas about which styles/colours suit you that you can use as a template when you go Shopping

I think the main thing is to find something that's not too different to what you usually wear. Too many people at weddings look like they're wearing fancy dress.

I usually go for a summery dress and a suit jacket. It's not "weddingy" but it's smart, comfortable, feels like me and I can buy something decent quality knowing I'll get loads of wear out of it. A longish skirt means heels don't have to be too high.

I'm going to a wedding in Sept and am thinking of wearing printed trousers (Boden Chelsea turn ups are brilliant) with a simple top and bright coral heels. Either that or a jumpsuit with simple accessories. Personally I can't bear maxi dresses with shrugs for weddings. Looks like you are off to the beach.
