Leg waxing!

I've shaved my legs for years and just recently have noticed they don't look quite as smooth as they used to so thought I would try leg waxing but am a bit confused! I had them waxed (very painful!) they looked good and smooth and then in a couple of weeks they have started growing back but apparently not long enough to have them waxed again yet so how does this work, you have lovely smooth legs for a week and then hairy legs for a few weeks and then start all over again?? so as far as I can see I have to have horrid hairy legs for quite a while and a short window of nice smooth ones? How often do you all have them waxed???

Waxing in the long term allows the hair to grow back finer and sparser.
I use an epilator on my legs and hot wax on my armpits.(Home Wax not salon)

I haven't waxed my armpits since just after Easter (had a Mammogram so I know exactly when , and though they aren't Public Viewing Ready, they aren't bad .

Hairs have a growth cycle, if you wait till they're long enough you should catch them all but then they'll grow back according to their active growth phase.
I'm always Hmm about the claim of 6 weeks hair free.

Epilator - that's a whole new one to think about! is this as good as waxing and do you still have to wait for the hairs to get quite long??

Just wear trousers or leggings for a week until you can wax again.

Puts teachers hat on...hair goes through three cycles during it's life (anagen, catogen and telogen) and you want to be waxing whilst the hair is in the anagen (iirc) phase of growth. This means that the hair is actively growing and should have a lovely fat bulb. The tricky bit is knowing what stage of growth your hair is at.

Waxing needs perseverance and once you're waxing at the right stage of growth it can last up to six weeks. In all honesty I tend to find that 4 weeks is about my limit.
