La Roche Posay and bumpy skin

I am the least suitable person to be posting on the style and beauty board- hardly ever wear make up and rarely shop for clothes- but I have a question please!

When I hit puberty I developed quite bad acne but also the texture of my skin changed and became coarse, oily and bumpy. Now 20 years later I don't get spots any more (or rarely) but still have bumpy, oily skin on my T zone. The texture of my skin is really starting to bother me and I think it's quite ageing :(

So I looked on here and found that La Roche Posay Effaclar K was recommended. I ordered some and started using it on Monday. At the moment it seems to make the skin outside my t zone nice and soft but has had no noticeable effect on the horrible bumpy skin on my forehead.

I was just wondering what your experiences are with this- does it really help, and if so how long does it take for a difference to become noticeable?
Thanks on advance :)

Not used Effaclar K but have used a similar product - you need to give any skin care treatment at least 4 weeks to decide if it's working or not.

For a spot treatment you are likely to have spots that were busy forming before you started the treatment, they will all need to develop and come out until you only have new skin which has grown since you started the treatment and so doesn't have any spots in.

Not sure about the bumps, it depends what they are seeing as you say you don't really have spots. But 4 days is too quick for what is essentiallly an exfoliating treatment to have changed bumps of any sort.

Bumping please (with my bumpy skin problem, it seems appropriate!)
