Would you buy 3 dresses the same, although different colours,

just because it suits you? Or is that daft?

Do the other colours suit you? If so go for it. I've been known to buy three identical pairs of jeans when I find the perfect pair so they last longer!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/06/2014 20:02

Mmm - agree with Dexter.

Eliza22 · 04/06/2014 20:34

I bought 2 the same, different colours. Wear them a lot. Always get comments on both.

TheFairyCaravan · 04/06/2014 20:47

I did with a Dorothy Perkins jersey Summer dress a couple of years ago.

If you're happy with it and they flatter you, go for it!

emsyj · 04/06/2014 20:54

I've just bought a stripy jumper in Gap in all 3 colours Blush - here it is, I bloody love it!

I've also bought the Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings in 2 colours and would have bought more if I had been able to find my size.

Pollywallywinkles · 04/06/2014 21:02

I've done it with two dresses in different colours. Not sure I would do it in three though, but I'm not you.

Best1sWest · 04/06/2014 21:49

I'm always doing this with things I like.

michellestub1965 · 04/06/2014 21:50

Ditto Dorothy Perkins dresses

Chottie · 05/06/2014 05:39

Yes, I've done the same, especially with trousers. It's surprising how different the same style can look in a different colour.

If you love the dress and it fits and flatters, go for it. You can wear that dress on its own, or with a shrug or denin jacket over it and have several different looks.

Hazchem · 05/06/2014 05:41

I did with the h&M 1.99 dress. I wore all three till they could be worn no more.

Hazchem · 05/06/2014 05:42

In fact I think I brought 4 :)

cowsarescary · 05/06/2014 07:46

I did with that v popular LK Bennett one. In black and plum for work / court; in a rose pink for dinners. Diff sizes because I go up and down.

JohnCusacksWife · 05/06/2014 09:30

I do this although I have noticed that the same top in a different colour is sometimes made from a different material too. Just bought this in cobalt, grey and white. The cobalt and grey are both the same lovely soft fabric but the white one is much stiffer and the neckline has different stitching so sits differently.

Laquila · 05/06/2014 11:09

I would TOTALLY do this. I've been burned before by finding the perfect jeans/trousers/top etc and the manufacturer then taking it off the shelves! Having said that, PPs are right - it does sort of depend whether it will date, and whether you're a fickle type who might go off it (all three!).

TulipOHare · 05/06/2014 12:21

Yes, if it fits and flatters and you love it. I do this all the time with tops, knits and jeans. Some of them I have three or four of.

If I ever miraculously found a dress that looked good on my hips I would buy it in all colours except yellow Grin

icanmakeyouicecream · 05/06/2014 12:31

I definitely would, have and do!

SquallyShowers · 05/06/2014 17:37

Yep. I buy a few dresses from Boden every summer in whatever plain colours they have, as I'm tall and its hard to find nice, knee length sun dresses for my height.
