Any and all opinions gratefully received.

I don't think so - I think biker jackets tend to be timeless. I've seen older women look really good in them. Go for it if you can afford it!

CateBlanket · 02/06/2014 20:11

No you are not too old.

thenightsky · 02/06/2014 20:11

Absolutely fine. I think it's a fairly timeless classic jacket.

makingdoo · 02/06/2014 20:15

Nope. It's a classic, lovely jacket and can be dressed up or down.

whattodoforthebest2 · 02/06/2014 20:17

I bet it's lovely leather and will look stylish with all sorts of things - I'd buy it and I'm a little bit older than you. Much depends on how you wear it - classic shapes and understated jewellery/accessories.

littlewhitebag · 02/06/2014 20:17

Oh good. I am very glad as i bought it on Saturday!

I have always envied my DD's their leather jackets and decided to splurge. Then i had a bit of a wobble in case i looked like i was trying to dress like a teen/twenty-something!

Timeless and classic sounds perfect.

It is beautiful butter-soft leather. My DD's were rather envious when they saw it!

I tried it on at the weekend and it absolutely beautiful, but was too big for me (ie too long, arms too long etc). It's gorgeous and you are most definitely not too old!

Bunbaker · 02/06/2014 21:04

I have a jacket similar in style in oxblood rather than black. I wear it a lot and I am 55, but look a little younger.

MissMiss1 · 02/06/2014 21:13

You are def not too old.

That jacket is so gorgeous and you'll be able to wear it with so many different things.

ThatBloodyWoman · 02/06/2014 21:15

It's lovely.

Chottie · 02/06/2014 21:17

I am older than you and I would buy it if I could afford it it is gorgeous.

hamptoncourt · 02/06/2014 21:23

Definitely not too old. I wear a similar one all the time and am 48. It looks lovely and a great buy at that price so well done!!

Floisme · 02/06/2014 22:02

I'm 57 (but don't look a day over 56) and I would wear it. Mind you, I don't understand how you can ever be too old for a leather jacket, unless it has a picture of Barbie on the back.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 02/06/2014 22:31

Agree w Floisme - not possible to be too old for a leather jacket.

polyhymnia · 02/06/2014 22:34

Agree with everyone else . It's a classic. Older than you and would def wear if I hadn't got such a big bust.

KoalaDownUnder · 03/06/2014 11:44

Nobody would be too old to wear that, it's classy and gorgeous.

burnishedsilver · 03/06/2014 12:57

Never too old. It's a quality classic.

The plastic equivalent from new look would be a different story.

MrsMarigold · 03/06/2014 14:04

It is very nice but what is your colouring like? - it could look quite harsh.

WowOoo · 03/06/2014 14:08

I'd be envious too. I bet it smells and feels divine.

Don't let anyone persuade you that they'll borrow it and really look after it. Just in case.Smile

No way are you too old for that.

Karbea · 03/06/2014 14:16

No not too old, I think it loos lovely.

KristinaM · 03/06/2014 14:47

I'm 52 and have a smilar, slightly longer one which I wear a lot .

But I never wear it with

Faded or ripped denim Jeans
Trainers
Anything from per una
Stripper shoes

See, I am not sure. I bought what I thought was a timeless leathers jacket, not inappropriate for my 44 years.

I put it on, feeling foxy and stylish to go out for lunch with friends....and DH laughed...

He is lovely and not a fashion dictator. He muttered something about the eighties, qualified by if I liked it it was fine, but the moment had gone.

I had doubts. They were confirmed. So I am not sure it's ok.
