Bra Intervention help please!

Ok so I have just joined after reading the many Bra Intervention threads and I have been enlightened. I have always worn A cup bras and most recently have been in a 34A. I've always believed this size was wrong for me but as I dont have huge boobs thought it was just because they were small and this was something everyone with small boobs had to put up with. After measuring I am 29in under my bust and 34 at the fullest part when bending over. I have determined from previous posts I should be a 28/30D? is this first of all correct? I think I have the band size now correct as when trying various styles on these band sizes feel ok. However I still feel frustrated as I still encounter bra fitting problems. I believe (from much research) that I also have wider set breasts as they do not touch and have approximately 2 fingers width between them. I also have problems in that while a cup seems to fit when upright, as soon as I bend over or have my arms in front or above me, I get major gaping to the point where I can't wear any lower cut tops for fear of being exposed. This even happens on bras where the cups seem to small and I am bulging over the top. I like to wear bras with some padding and it has previously been suggested to me that all padded bras gape but I cant see this is true. Does anyone please have any advice as this is so depressing for me.

Thanks

You should be trying sizes 28DD/E and 30D/DD, however it sounds like a 28 band is better for you.

Moulded t-shirt style bras are quite tricky to get a good fit with and do tend to gape on many people. This is because they don't mould to your shape IYSWIM?

I would try something like Lepel Fiore padded plunge or half cup (might not come in a 28 but a 30 could work as they run a little tight), Cleo Juna (good plain bra with a little padding but not moulded), Freya Patsy, Debenhams Gorgeous half cups and Bravissimo half cups.

As my boobs have gone from 34ff then pregnancy shot up to 34J and 5 years latter they still are I have had to learn quickly what suits me in my new size. There are so many different shapes and styles and brands and, well it can make your head spin. I recommend the classic trip to Bravissimo (or your local ally recommended independent shop) with an appointment. The wonderful assistant just kept saying we can do better and she did until I knew how good I could look. I've long know that plunge bras just aren't for me but my new size has really reduced my choice, I need the ones with side support, now I know this I have a much better idea what to try on and can quickly dismiss ones that are the wrong cut. Foam lined ones are always going to be a problem with their set shape, but you might find one that really suits you. Once you have worked out what style, cut, brand and size in each brand you are life will become a little easier. You can always get another fitting, you may get new advise. Panache is always a little small in the back and cup, your new bra size is a guide, it may well vary a little just like your clothes probably do?

Thanks! I'm going to try ordering some of those brands online as theres no shop stocking them nearby. (Local debenhams are terrible) Fingers crossed they help.

It is very stressful and unfortunatley the closest Bravissimo is in central London. Think I may take a trip there if the ones I order arent any good. Thought about getting meausred in Debenhams until I heard the strange advice the assistant was giving to another customer. (something along the lines of, that back is far to big i think you need a smaller size and then suddenly turning full circle to actually it looks ok.) And ive heard m&s arent too good either.
Thanks for your comments, its reassuring to know its not just me.
