Ok. Bit dramatic. But I'm having yet another 'I don't know what this garment actually looks like anymore I have been staring at it so long' moment. Please help, is it horrid?

Handy in the rain though.

burnishedsilver · 29/05/2014 17:40

On some level you knew it was horrible.....otherwise you would have happily just bought it and said nothing. Theres hope yet.

ThatBloodyWoman · 29/05/2014 17:41

Oh.
I quite like it.
I'll get my plastic rainmac coat.

seasalty50 · 29/05/2014 17:49

I worry it would steam up on a humid day

squoosh · 29/05/2014 18:00

Wouldn't it get a bit condesationy like a greenhouse?

squoosh · 29/05/2014 18:01

It reminds me of Kate Moss in her 90's heyday. She could get away with it..........just.

squoosh · 29/05/2014 18:02

And she only gets away with it because presumably she's at a fashion party and not down her local boozer.

Beeyump · 29/05/2014 18:04

ThatBloodyWoman I could kiss you! you enabler.

I love that Kate Moss dress.

I suppose context is everything, is it for a particular occassion? Is this your usual (alternative it seems) style? See theres no way on earth I could get away with wearing that but you might wear it and your friends will be 'oh that dress is totally her'.

flameprincess · 29/05/2014 18:10

Oh dear. Put your debit card away and back away from the keyboard!

BuzzardBird · 29/05/2014 18:11

You are going to rustle a bit in that dress cock, don't go to the cinema in it will you?

KissMyFatArse · 29/05/2014 18:12

Looks cheap and a bit trashy. Sorry

Beeyump · 29/05/2014 18:15

Just for...summer I suppose? I might be able to make it look expensive and trashy??

OP posts:
MaryWestmacott · 29/05/2014 18:20

I like it, but only if you're going to a 90s fancy dress party - it's rather like the stuff I went clubbing in last century when I was tiny and not had my body distroyed by children

OP, if you're bigger than a size 6 and older than 23 and are unable to build a timemachine to the mid/late 90s , you'll look rough in it.

trikken · 29/05/2014 18:22

God no. It's horrific step awaaay from the dress!

Beeyump · 29/05/2014 18:25

I'm younger than 23 (ok a month younger), and a size 8ish.

OP posts:
Beeyump · 29/05/2014 18:25

But I realise that's clutching at straws.

Beeyump · 29/05/2014 18:26

I bought jelly shoes last week.

OP posts:
EasyWhiteChocolate · 29/05/2014 18:42

I'm the same age as you (by month and all - and also bought jelly shoes last week!) I still really hate the dress, but if we're going on the 90s throwback like Mary said, I guess 90s are in.

WowserBowser · 29/05/2014 18:45

I think jelly shoes would go with that dress!

Deverethemuzzler · 29/05/2014 18:45

Its a luxe version of the sort of thing we wore in the early 80s.

WowserBowser · 29/05/2014 18:46

Not in a good way

Deverethemuzzler · 29/05/2014 18:47

Jeez if you are 22 of course you should wear it!

Time enough for sensible clothing.

Though how a 22 year old has nearly 50 quid for a frock I don't know...Envy

Deverethemuzzler · 29/05/2014 18:50

Reminds me of the divine Poly.

Although, ironically she is all twin set in this vid
