Find me a Wedding dress for small registry office wedding.

DHTB and myself are planning a very small registry office wedding. Been together a long time and money is tight.

My dress budget is around £200. I don't really want a traditional wedding dress. I keep, looking at things thinking they are nice but then visualising someone older getting married I it (I'm 32).

I'm 5'2" currently a size 16 top/14 bottom. I'd like to drop a dress size before hand. I have very broad shoulders, broad back and big boobs so dresses aren't always easy. I have good legs and wouldn't mind shortish. I would like something that flatters my mummy tummy. Not much to ask hey! Don't mind colours or if something is plain customising to make it more dressy

MrsDiesil I have 2 good strapless bras. If the the top is sweetheart neckline or similar I can do strapless. My chest is so broad that I look all shoulders in the ones that go straight across.

MRsDiesil the monsoon links only open the main page.

I'm not only thinking short but am not used to long dresses as they are usually way to long for me.

It's not till Christmas so plenty of time. I didn't realise you could get one made so cheaply treaclesoda.

I like this but long dresses can often hit the floor and still be miles too long.

Ineed I think people associate getting a dress made with those very top end bespoke bridal places where they charge thousands, but if you see a pattern for something that takes your fancy and you find a local dressmaker, you'd be surprised at how good value it could be, particularly if your choice of design is quite a simple shape. I had a friend a few years back whose wedding dress cost £30 because all she needed to buy was the fabric, her mum made it! Obviously if you have to pay someone for their time and skill its going to be a lot more, but it might not be as much as you think. It's worth taking a look into it anyway, you've nothing to lose.
