Selling clothes on ebay - is it worth it?

I am thinking of trying to sell some things on ebay, mainly to force myself to get rid of some things I don't wear but can't bring myself to take to a charity shop... There are a few nice things. Am I likely to sell anything? I plan to take good photos, etc.

I seem to lots of lovely things but nothing I want to wear.

As a buyer I pass over recorded items, as I'm never in for delivery and don't have time to go to PO to pick up ( non recorded gets left in the porch.)
Please show measurements, I received a beautiful jumper today, it's about 10cm too short 😢, measurements would have saved me a tenner ( though I suspect the seller knew). If selling trousers, leg length is very important.
Give lots of details and good photos.
No crazy bright coloured fonts.
Don't try to charge extra for highlands and islands if you are using Royal Mail, it's taking the piss, big style.
I've noticed lots of clothes sell for far more money than they did 5yrs ago. Often really random stuff, like Next. I'm currently watching a Seasalt jumper which is nearly at £35!

I have relative success but recently I've found buyers just being so difficult. I ALWAYS send second class signed for now as i know some buyers have lied about not receiving things.

This thread is 2 years old!

I remember reading this 2 years ago, and would say it's all still relevant. Especially as now to November is the best time to get selling and make some money before xmas.

Accurate clear photos, daylight, on hangers NOT worn. Include original stock shot if poss. Use an iron!
Factual only descriptions, including measurements where relevant.
Lots of key words in title, doesn't have to make sense.
Don't mark up postage&packaging to include anything else e.g. time spent, petrol
Send signed so you have tracking and proof of delivery.

All good advice.
