Should I be doing it?

I've been doing it for a month or so, definitely notice a difference on my thighs and seems to help the tum too as I'm prone to water retention/bloating

KoalaFace · 24/05/2014 17:34

Thanks peppermint if you've noticed a definite difference I'll give it a go!

I'm not sure what the benefits are supposed to be though!

Think it's meant to stimulate your circulation and shift toxins, so it helps improve cellulite etc

Ijustworemytrenchcoat · 25/05/2014 22:47

I've done it in the past and definitely notice a difference whenever I start again. I'm too lazy to do it all the time though. I settle for using one of those mesh ball things in the shower which has a similar effect. Not sure it works at shifting toxins etc. but makes my skin look more toned.

Have been wondering about this. What are you supposed to use?

MairzyDoats · 25/05/2014 23:57

Long handled brush - mine's from the Body Shop. It def makes my bum and legs feel smoother.

cardamomginger · 26/05/2014 00:00

Does it hurt?

MairzyDoats · 26/05/2014 00:09

Oh no! I prefer doing it in the spring/summer as it can make me shiver but it shouldn't hurt! It's quite pleasant actually, sort of makes you feel a bit glowy.

cardamomginger · 26/05/2014 00:11

Ooo glowy!! I could go for that! Thanks Smile. Might give it a go then.

MrsPennyapple · 26/05/2014 00:22

Mine is a round brush with a strap across that you put your hand through. I am quite lax about it but when I do it before every shower I find it does get rid of all those red spots I get on my calves, thighs and upper arms. It doesn't hurt, it just feels nicely tingly.

PeppermintInfusion · 27/05/2014 10:56

You can buy a brush for it in boots etc; it has quite stiff bristles and you rub in circular motions starting at your extremities . It doesn't hurt but wakes you up as it gets the blood flowing etc
