Ha ha - am planning on wearing my white Baxters today, too!

noddyholder · 25/05/2014 11:20

Zara blue floral top with tie sleeves a winner with white jeans :)

SuperFlyHigh · 25/05/2014 11:35

Ah went out last night on a date with Monsoon fusion white/cream short sort of kimono sleeve drawstring floaty top with grey swallows, black top shop skinnies (Baxter?), Zara black cardi, Nicole Farhi black distressed leather jacket and dune ruched calf length black leather boots.

EduardoBarcelona · 25/05/2014 11:38

how am i the ONLY person who finds baxters ( blue) shrink in the leg I start off with 32 inch ones and they soon become 7/8 trousers

Me me! I am actually going out. Only round the corner but hell, I'll take it. Have guests who haved offered to babysit - we nearly bit their hands off.

Hmmm, what to wear? Am sick of skirts and dresses. Have nothing new as on enforced budget. Will have to do a reccee and return later

Fanks?

Maybe start a new thread, Stick. Personally I have no idea what, 'Blingy sportswear' is, and I suspect that I wouldn't like it if I did. I like Converse, but not for going out.

Top

trousers

Wallis have some love sort of Sport Luxe, bits in the sale at the moment Stick Em, not quite Alexander Wang, but nicer on the budget.

HoneyDragon · 25/05/2014 20:31

I like scoop necks or boat necks with short funky hair cuts.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 25/05/2014 20:31

Stick - I'm a bit too dull old for blingy sportswear, but hope you find what you are looking for.

Ed - I deliberately shrink my Baxters in the drier as much as I can, so mine are all shorter than when I started. I actually got even simpler and chopped a pair off to make them cropped. Which is perfect for summer - I'm loving my jeans a bit shorter in summer.

Noddy - I wore white Baxters w. Pale blue and white striped shirt. I almost wore the blue and white floral shirt, but felt like simple stripes. Of course, went to Kew Gardens w DCs (one of whom was also wearing white skinnies) and now have returned FILTHY after being climbed on w muddy / dirty shoes. Thankfully my white Baxters are thick enough to withstand the frequent hot washes w bleach I subject them to. They are 4 years old and have been a great purchase, partly due to how hardy they are.

Free - I think have a look at what you have and look on Pinterest for some ideas of a new way to wear something? Or maybe get a great nail polish to wear?

HoneyDragon · 25/05/2014 20:37

I've been dithering over this but I think I'm too short for it

I think it looks cute with the wedged boots.

Lots of nice smart loose sweatshirts and fitted skirts in ASOS too for that sort of style. My friend wears really simple nude things on summer evenings with it rather than pumps.

This is not for night but what do you fashion mavens think I should wear for lunch date tomorrow country small town?

SuperFlyHigh · 25/05/2014 20:51

Honey I like the asos Adidas dress but fear it'd date really quickly eg not much wear. --but then I can talk ha ha buying 3 vintage dresses for £10 the other week (buy 2 get 1 free) and only 2 are wearable! Grin

I know, I don't think dipped hems are going to last much longer, which is a shame as they suit me.

I'm country, I'd favour skinnies, grey smart vest, silver jewellry and jacket.
