My cuticles grow very fast and very high up my fingernails. Any tips/products to help keep them in check please?

Watching with interest.

Currently I use a metal hoofstick-pusherbacker on them when they are dry (not soaked in water if you see what I mean) but it makes them thicken and even split somehow.

If you can get to a salon supplies place then Blue Cross cuticle remover is very good. You need to be careful as it basically dissolves skin and it will strip the varnish clean off your table if you spill it but it cleans up cuticles very efficiently and leaves a very professional finish. It comes in enormous bottles, which I decant.

When you get out of bath / shower use yup towel to push cuticles back whilst they are damp

I've mentioned this product on here before - the only thing that has ever worked for me is a product from Boots called Flexitol. It's quite a thick and concentrated cream and smells a bit medicinal - but it works. The picture on the box IS what your nails will look like if you rub a small amount in religiously every night without fail - and it may take a month or so to see a difference. I had terrible ragged cuticles and dry skin around my nails and this did work. Good luck.

I have this problem and have found that superdrug cuticle serum really helps and is cheap and non smelly. You put some on twice a day then leave it to soak in for a few mins and push them back gently with a hoof stick. After a couple of weeks they look loads better.

Great suggestions, I'm not familiar with any of those so will check them out. The towel-after-shower idea is good but my cuticles seems to adhere to the nail plate so a towel doesn't help but thanks!
