Has anyone used a NaturalLaser for IPL hair removal?

There is a Groupon offer for £89 near me for six sessions and the firm I was looking at using was going to charge nearly £700 for six sessions! So the Groupon offer sounds too good to be true, does anyone have any experience of this company please?

I've been wondering the same thing, can't find any reviews of the salon near me. Will be watching with interest!

I just can't understand what the wild difference in price could be down to unless the type of laser is different and thus less effective. You want to have a go first Mushaboom and report back? Wink

The offer on groupon is probably for IPL which is not permanent and usually carried out by beauty therapists. Proper laser hair removal machines are far more effective, and can only be used by trained doctors or nurses.

Thanks TipTops. That might explain it!

I am midway through a Groupon course of IPL. I paid a little less than that- for a different salon near to me.

Their regular price list is much higher - but i guess they use the Groupon to drum up trade. I suspect that they set aside only a few appointments for use by Groupon/discount clients - as I find it difficult to get an appointment time to suit me sometimes.

Laser isn't permanent either btw. It's 'long term hair reduction' -not permanent. I had laser about 10 years ago, and it has started to regrow - hence my IPL Groupon sessions to sort it out.

Thanks Lazy. This would be my third round of laser over about 12 years too and it reduces each time but never bloody goes away completely!

Are you happy with the results so far?

Yes, I don't expect it to totally go away for ever.

It's just easier when there is hardly any hair. I have bikini line and underarms. So tend to only bother about it when it is summer.

some of my hairs are quite fair - so of course they don't go away. but i can put up with that.

Thanks. I have bought it, I probably need to see it as part of my annual upkeep costs. Mine is my jawline and neck so not very optional!

I had forgotten about this! I'm looking at ipl for my upper lip - have you had it on your jawline before red daisy? How did you find it? I'm terrified of being red/having to let my 'tashe grow long enough to do it!

reddaisy · 22/05/2014 20:12

Hi Mushaboom, I have had it on my jawline each time and I don't feel a thing! But everyone is different I suppose. I also don't get any redness and you don't let the hair grow out for treatment, in fact they asked me to shave the areas before I went.

So I went today for the Groupon deal and my areas aren't all covered in the offer so I have had to pay £25 extra each time I go for everything to be zapped. I was also asked if I wanted the basic laser which is included in the price or pay £20 extra each time for the more powerful laser! I stuck with the basic one and I will see what the regrowth is like. So that is how they make the money, I was also told that they offer existing customers deals at the end of the course for maintenance sessions. So I am neither happy nor unhappy with it yet but they can't be making much money on the original deal so I kind of understand the extras.

Thanks for the update, really good to know! I epilate at the moment and don't find that particularly painful and the redness goes down quite quickly. will keep investigating!
