theory about leopard print heels

EduardoBarcelona · 15/05/2014 20:07

I have lots of heeled shoes. I wear them often. BUT whenever I wear my AUtograph sale leopard ones men ALWAYS make a comment on them.
The men range in age from youngish to 55+

its really really odd. JUST the leopard ones.

Do you have men* magnet shoes?

(* or any other type of person)

It's because they are fabulous. Someone at work wore some yesterday, and I just have to get a pair.

HalfATankini · 15/05/2014 21:06

Oh are they the ones that have just gone into the sale? I ummed and ahhed over a pair yesterday but wasn't sure as the heel was plain black rather than leopard print too.

The only shoes I have that always get commented on are some sequinned converse. Every time I wear them, but that could just be their unusualness.

EduardoBarcelona · 15/05/2014 21:33

Oh no are ancient. Were 19£ and I bought them as I swooshed past for sushi

EduardoBarcelona · 15/05/2014 21:34

This is only men tho. Weird

Must be the secret Bet Lynch fantasy they all harbour.

CointreauVersial · 15/05/2014 21:40

I think that most of them didn't get the memo about leopard print being the "new neutral".

It's a bit much for them, poor dears.

EduardoBarcelona · 15/05/2014 21:48

At their age ;)

I wear heels nearly every day to work. Women often comment and men never do. Ditto on the occasional days I wear leopard print ballet shoes. But men (usually the younger ones) ALWAYS make Dorothy comments when I wear red ballet shoes.

SpringItOn · 15/05/2014 22:34

I've just ordered these ones up for £6 in the M&S sale. I couldn't resist for 6 quid, there's am M&S food at the bottom of my road and I'm having them delivered there, so no delivery charge and easy to return if I don't like em. Smile

EduardoBarcelona · 16/05/2014 05:15

Agre. Six quid is a bargain. We can test the theory

ToffeeMoon · 16/05/2014 05:24

Many men would think leopard print = easy rider. Leopard print on heels? Fuck me shoes.

I don't think this. But I imagine a certain type of man would.

Get any action OP?

EduardoBarcelona · 16/05/2014 06:02

Lol. It was in a rather serious setting! So no. Grin

I have a pair of M&S leopard print heels and have never received a single comment from a man about them. The men in my area must be impervious to their charms.

I wonder if they're the same shoes - high black heel and slight platform in black, leopard print everywhere else?

MargotLovedTom · 16/05/2014 06:22

Actually they won't be, the shoes I have aren't Autograph.

Mine are high enough not to stray into Theresa May territory Grin.

JessieEssex · 16/05/2014 06:34

Ooh, Margot, I clicked on the link and added them to my basket, but as soon as you mentioned Teresa May, I reconsidered. Good call.

EduardoBarcelona · 16/05/2014 06:47

Mine had an ankle strap I cut off. Was really years ago. No platform. Just classic

OP posts:
EduardoBarcelona · 16/05/2014 06:48

Now. You do get the odd Theresa May comment. That's annoying. Fricken woman

HalfATankini · 16/05/2014 14:38

I have purchased the £6 M&S beauties.

I shall report my findings.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 16/05/2014 15:56

I think it must be heels. And it might also depend on the wearer Blush. I am wearing leopard print slippers today. Not a single comment. [blush blush blush]

dottytablecloth · 16/05/2014 16:18

You have bought all the size 7's!

Am not impressed!

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 06:05

Slippers. Yes. That's the thing

OP posts:
BelindaAllWorkedOut · 17/05/2014 11:22

I'm going out tonight, so will wear leopard print heels and test the theory Smile. I think the slipper shape, of yesterday's shoe, just might Have limited the "allure" of leopard print Grin

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 12:29

I bet you TWO drunken flirty comments.
i did like the Boden party heels in leopard but arent different enough to my sale beauties and indeed my sale ones arent sandals
